Missing a guy? Maybe.
Somethings will never be the same.
Rides thru the neighborhood. Stopping and talking. Sitting at the picnic table or on the back porch. Now I’m fixing my own damn dryer, or ceiling fan, or hallway lights.....
When it's your Dads birthday, you think about things. Especially when he's not here anymore.
There's things I wish he would have gotten to see, because he would have been so proud.
But time runs out and we don't control that.
I learned to strive to be a big part of other people's lives. In the end, that's how you'll be remembered. Not for how much money you had, not for that huge house or nice car.
You only make an impact by giving of yourself.
It's not what I can take away, it's what I can give away.
That's what he taught me.
Thank you Daddy

This post has probably already been made but Happy Fathers Day to Charlie and Carlisle who showed me how Dads are supposed to be.

Come and have a go. It won't end well
Füllkrug and Hummels arriving to training together
Dads, what do they really do?
Really, what are they?
I mean, they're the ones that teach you to build a fire.
The ones that teach you to drive when you're 14, or 12 if you can reach the pedals.
They're the ones that put you in the swing and see if it really can go all the way around in a complete circle.
They're the one who teaches you to sing, and not always good songs.
They take you to a bar on Christmas Eve, and when you come home, Santa came.
They're the ones that drive all night when everybody sleeps.
They're the ones that say get up when you bust a knee or an elbow, and rub some dirt on it, it'll be okay ( even though it hurts like a bitch ).
They're the one your mom threatened you with the whole day when you acted out, and then never tells him, but you were scared shitless anyways.
They teach you to work on cars.
They're the ones that let you taste their 12th beer when you're 7 so you know how bad it really is.
They show you what it's like to have 30 people in your backyard at 2am singing Merle Haggard songs.
They make you love dogs.
They let you know that dancing with the woman you love ain't sissy, it's good stuff.
They teach you that sports transcend the field. That the people you have coached will remember you, for the good or for the bad you did.
They let you take chances that your mom would never do.
They coined the phrase " don't tell mom ".
So Dads teach you things. Not schoolbook things, but things.
I guess, that's what they are. They're teachers.
Hah, I could just imagine telling mine that.
