1000 Reasons to Love The Mandalorian (11/1000)
After watching Chapter 7 I realized what is my biggest problem with The Mandalorian... This issue was the complete lack of scenes when someone touches the kid’s ears. T-they are right there... How can you not... Like...
BUT then Chapter 8 came out and they delivered, so I forgive them. Because we have not one, not two, but three different scenes where someone affectionately touches The Baby’s ear. I’m a simple woman. That’s enough to make me happy.
Also I think it shows a lot about the development of the characters who decided to do that. First we have IG-11 (who deserves separate 300 reasons just for him and I’m going to write them at some point), who started as an almost-murderer and ended up as a badass nanny.. Then we have Cara, who decided to help the baby even after he basically attacked her (and after “I don’t do the baby thing” she said like 20 minutes earlier)... And at the very end we have Greef Karga who started this whole thing by sending Din to hunt the baby and didn’t care much untill he saw this cute creature who additionaly saved him from imminent death.
Sometimes I feel like Baby Yoda would survive without Din just because he’s so tiny and adorable... (But seriousy, seven episodes without actually petting his ears! Maybe apart from Peli... the only reasonable one.)
