What if a lot of this "transphase" is actually about that our gender roles are waaay too rigid. Basically that men have alot of feelings, sensitivity and likes blingy things too and women have ideas, action and want some power over their lives.
We have become more open with colors on our clothes (I know it is silly but here we are) and the lines have blurred a bit. I mean, have you Looked at something from the 70s? And I do not mean the hippiepart. Or...the 50's? The genderroles back then were Hella stiff!
I mean ...if I were to be like a girl in the 40's 50's, I would need to wear dresses all the time, be a mom, not really have ideas of my own and certainly not power or act the way I am acting today.
Even if I am biologically a girl, I feel and act more like what feels natural to me. If I want to wear a tie, I will wear a tie. If I would like to wear pants, I will wear pants. If I want to act bossy and take up space one day I will. If I the next want to be little a fragile the next, I will. I have both "masculine" and "feminine" traits. But that does not make me less of a female. I am a being, born into what we call a lady.
Just as the magnetic pole is + and -, so are we. Just as we have darkness and light, so have we. Just as we are strong and fragile, sad and happy, fierce and bland.
Of course when you are grown, you can change your body the way you want to, it is your body. I just hope that you know that being you is ok. Even if it don't feels like it. I mean...why shouldn't you be, when you are true to yourself, anything other than awesome?
I think a lot of men are sick and soooo fucking tired of this cold, detached macho men type, that they are basically prepared to CHANGE into a female, just to fucking Feel. To be silly and like colors. Isn't that beyond nuts?
We all want to belong somewhere. This is me, these are my people who accept me for me. But we are fucking complex beings. And the choices we have are strict. So we change. We cut and try to fit into an old shape. But we are the kids of our forefathers. We are the hope that they never got. We are their feelings that never got expressed.
I mean I get it. I just think it's so sad. The reason some people call themselves "them" IS because they are fucking tired of playing the old rules of what a female is supposed to be like in order to recieve love and to be a part of humanity. And the same for the role of what a man is like.
I am sure alot of people would categorize me as a "them" or maybe something new like a b+non UPf. And I'm like...I am just me. I am a Woman and proud. I am complex, weird, fragile, strong, loud, quiet, colorful and dark and a whole lot more.
I am just who I am and I have worked hella hard to get to this so...the world just have to deal with it? :)
