this sounds fuckin stupid i know but i can't believe people are making new music and it sounds different to other music. as someone without a creative bone in her body,, i cannot imagine being able to come up with something that sounds different to something else. every time i listen to a new album im just like,,this is 15 new tunes...,??

I spent all morning telling him it’s gonna rain, if he’s gonna clean the outside windows do it now (I’m doing the inside) he doesn’t listen. It starts to rain and now he insists on going to clean the windows in the rain.

I remind him he needs to sweep away cobwebs and debris too not just clean the glass. The whole window. I’m no longer able to supervise I’m busy elsewhere. He tells me he’s got it. But last time he got it I came home to streaked glass, leafs in cobwebs and the inside not done at all. Because his idea of got it is wiping over everything once with one cloth. And he wonders why I get angry and end up doing everything myself.

This is weaponised incompetence. Yet I never stop giving him jobs to do even if he does them badly. I know that’s what he wants and I’m not allowing it. This is also what happens when you do everything for your sons and send them into the world with the expectation that fairies and forest animals do the housework.

Update - he’s done a surprisingly good job considering it’s raining 👍
