From the cut-and-paste post-punk world of 1982, comes this visual and verbal mash up of words and images, a mix of photocopy art, metafiction, reflection, edgy philosophy, cultural journalism and existential comedy rendered in an apocalyptic pre-postmodern style.

Zerox Dreamflesh was an anonymous collective of writers, graphic artists and musicians operating in Sydney in the early 1980s; Lockjaw —reissued here for the first time more than 30 years after the original—draws a jagged trace through the 20th century’s avant-gardes and gouges a line under the idea of the avant-garde itself.

The metamessage is: ‘it all stops here’.
