So my recontracting forms are due today. And I am at a loss. I have no idea what to do.
Here’s a little background,
I live in a small town, on the edge of Hyogo Pref.
Currently I have a broken leg.
I am a tape recorder, entirely at my Junior High. The JTEs aren’t bad but they are standoffish and only want me to pronounce things and not really contribute.
I go to ES once a week for 24 weeks over the year, which I really love doing. I get to plan and control the lessons with support from the Home Room Teachers and staff there.
I have an around 3-5 hours at JHS free a day.
My Japanese has hit a huge plateau in the last year and I am not motivated to continue to learn it at the moment.
I don’t really have many job prospects in my area of study waiting for me at home, so I would either have to start a new degree or just go back to working in retail
I really love living in Japan and it was a dream of mine as a kid to live here
A lot of my friends are not recontracting and returning to their home countries
From this list, it’s kind of obvious that I probably wont be staying here for the right reasons if do decide to stay.
Anyone have any advice to making the decision to stay a 3rd year or not?
