Exhibit A: Y’all Are Wrong About Usopp (tl;dr) or rant
(possible Elbaf spoilers!)
Let’s get one thing straight. One of the only reasons I even walk into the cesspool that is One Piece Reddit is to see exactly what kind of sh*t Usopp is up against. I do not go there for “fun,” I do not go there for “community.” I go there because I like to see the battlefield. And every time, without fail, it is the same tired, shallow sh*t recycled until it stinks. But lately? I have seen some new takes that really got my goat, and trust me—I was ready to throw down.
I already know speculation and theorizing get treated like fandom crimes, even though it is nowhere near as bad as power scaling. Theorizing is only wrong in the wrong hands. So there I was, stepping into the courtroom of Reddit, facing prosecution left and right. No easy win, but I walked out alive—and with the last word.
And the thing that kills me? The Usopp “fans.” The ones who swear they love him but spend all their energy dragging him. They have the right, sure, but whew. Tired a** takes everywhere. “He told Nami to lie.” “He has not done sh*t in ten years.” Same broken record. I objected every time. Downvoted, but I do not leave responses hanging. If I am in it, I am in it until the gavel hits.
Then came the Elbaf talk. “He has not done anything.” Like damn, blame Oda for chasing flashbacks, not a fictional character. Someone accused me of gatekeeping. I waved that flag high. Someone else hit me with “Why defend a character who does not care about you?” And I said, apparently enough people care since they treat him like a real human instead of pointing at Oda. So who is really crazy here?
But what really pissed me off were the comparisons. As if every other Straw Hat is somehow “better.” Damn, what did Usopp do to deserve that? Then came the challenge: “Name three things, post-time skip, he did that no one else could.” I named four. They lost it. Tried to throw out Dressrosa because “haki cancels devil fruits now 😂.” At that point I knew One Piece Reddit was evil as h*ll.
And let me tell you, nothing made them angrier than two things: me saying Elbaf is not over yet, and me bringing up Yasopp. At that point they probably wanted to scream “f*ck that b*tch” because I refused to back down. One guy even said Usopp only has a “minority” of loyal fans. Man, please. I remembered the time I argued with someone with that same hasty generalization on YouTube for two hours until they went radio silent. I remembered when someone compared Usopp fans to Dallas Cowboys fans. I googled it and… yeah, I saw the vision. I mean this in the most charming way possible.
Every time I tried to be optimistic about Usopp’s strife, his arc, his odds, I got dismissed. Sh*twads certain he was done. Like… sorry? Aren’t Usopp fans supposed to be more stubborn than that? Meanwhile, people swear Robin, Franky, Brook, the Monster Trio, and my buttcrack are all getting more spotlight. Then the “God Valley means Usopp cannot shine” argument came out. What the f*ck? My rebuttal: if the spotlight is on the old gen, Yasopp is tied into that too. And suddenly I was accused of comparing Yasopp to Roger. 🙄 Gaslit with “your sarcasm is childish.” Nah. I was just matching Reddit’s wolfish energy. You cannot be soft on one of the pettiest platforms alive.
So yeah, One Piece Reddit might be evil as h*ll, but I am stubborn enough to go toe to toe with it. I will take the downvotes, I will take the insults, and I will still get the last word. Because when Usopp’s moment comes—and it will—your tired a** “he’s useless” chorus is gonna sound real stupid.

I can’t wait till Wednesday and I am 99,9% sure Jin was loyal and didn’t do anything with auntie Sienna. BUT knowing fusebox and that they need to carry on for some more volumes, 00.1% that movie night will show something that can be interpreted wrong to keep the drama. But I am ready for any outcome

Hello. To anyone who manages to find this post (probably no one will but I still need to get this off my chest). Please help my reblog this story. This needs to be shared.
I have been permanently "suspended" from Reddit-which is a bullshit term that they have called my ostracization because their sentence is never going to let up.
5 months ago, I saw a comment on Reddit where a person was dangerously promoting the idea that minors can start having sexual arousal at a young age, therefore they are capable of consenting to an adult having sex with them.
I of course told this person to immediately desist. They refused, so I unleashed a diatribe of hurtful words (not even ashamed to say I frankly told them to go choke on their own vomit).
And how did Reddit admins choose to handle the situation after I reported this aggressor's comments invoking harm on children?
My comments were reported by the pedophile for "inciting bodily violence". My account was the one that got preemptively IP banned from Reddit, from my main and even my alt account which had nothing to do with my main account.
I traveled out of the country recently and got a new IP. I am a struggling artist and writer and wanted to use the account solely to get advice on character design and storyboarding tips for my current project. Reddit somehow managed to track my IP change and they banned me once again, on an account that had nothing to do with my previous account.
If anyone can find this post, please reblog. Please help me spread the word on how horribly corrupt Reddit's admin team is and how they use their so-called "terms of service" to protect the well-being of online predators and other creeps rather than the people who are in need of most protection.
It blows my mind that ppl would criticize vox machina to hell and back and call them murderers and power hungry and all sorts of awful things and then turn around and viciously hate on keyleth and call her dramatic and neurotic and stupid for constantly being concerned with doing good and minimizing destruction like...the misogyny....
