I thought it wouldn't be that bad. I thought I could try it out and get used to it. But no, the reddit app is just trash. There's a little part of my brain which is just screaming that something is 'off' and is more of a dopimine depletion.

I have been meaning to move more here, but I feel a little lost and lonely.

It feels like I'm at a party, but I don't know anyone. So I'm not having a good time.

Does anyone have a crash course on 'how to tumblr'?

While spez's website collapses around him, he's had his Dev team actively create filters on his website to delete any profanity about him, and the meme image that was going around.

His website is burning, and he's throwing a hissy fit about people being mean to him. Fuck fixing problems with the site. Nah he's gotta shut down dissent.

I don't know how in-depth it is, but if you ever wrote the phrase 'fuck u/spez' you can check it for yourself. It has been deleted. Guaranteed.

I have now given up on reddit. This is personal for pigboy. There's no chance he's going to be reasonable.

The only use I have for Reddit now is going to be when I Google something, and forget that I'm not using the website anymore, and end up on a three-year-old Reddit post that has the answer that I'm looking for.

As far as I'm concerned, reddit is just another milquetoast social media and memes site now.

Got perma-banned from Reddit for calling out a pedophile, they still won't let me have my account back

Hello. To anyone who manages to find this post (probably no one will but I still need to get this off my chest). Please help my reblog this story. This needs to be shared.

I have been permanently "suspended" from Reddit-which is a bullshit term that they have called my ostracization because their sentence is never going to let up.

5 months ago, I saw a comment on Reddit where a person was dangerously promoting the idea that minors can start having sexual arousal at a young age, therefore they are capable of consenting to an adult having sex with them.

I of course told this person to immediately desist. They refused, so I unleashed a diatribe of hurtful words (not even ashamed to say I frankly told them to go choke on their own vomit).

And how did Reddit admins choose to handle the situation after I reported this aggressor's comments invoking harm on children?

My comments were reported by the pedophile for "inciting bodily violence". My account was the one that got preemptively IP banned from Reddit, from my main and even my alt account which had nothing to do with my main account.

I traveled out of the country recently and got a new IP. I am a struggling artist and writer and wanted to use the account solely to get advice on character design and storyboarding tips for my current project. Reddit somehow managed to track my IP change and they banned me once again, on an account that had nothing to do with my previous account.

If anyone can find this post, please reblog. Please help me spread the word on how horribly corrupt Reddit's admin team is and how they use their so-called "terms of service" to protect the well-being of online predators and other creeps rather than the people who are in need of most protection.

Reddit is done. Third party apps no longer work, and as such, many of the power users will be stopping it's use.

I hope it crashes and burns, and brings it's monopoly on niche data down with it.

I won't stop going to reddit if a search takes me there, but they're not getting any more of my data.

The only comments I left up are the ones that spoke negatively of spez and the api change. If you haven't deleted at least your top comments on reddit, your most helpful comments, I'd recommend doing that now. Don't let them make money off of your useful data.

I’m so fucking hurt. I’ve been active on Reddit for 5 years until a month or so before the strike. At which point I was already kind of burned out on social media, so my sub and I went dark. I turned the sub back on a week or so later, but I stayed offline.

I just went to message some friends I’ve talked to there for YEARS and that’s when I learned. Reddit, of course, has deleted everyone’s chat history. I only remember two of their usernames. I may never talk to some of them again and I cared for them for years.

I searched online what happened because I thought it was a user error, but learned that not only were my chats gone for some bullshit, arbitrary reason, but also the coin/award system is dead. Additionally? Everything is GONE. All the art awards I BOUGHT MYSELF to give to my members who made art in competitions I made for them are gone. It’s like they never won anything. All the awards I’d been given for my poems and art? Gone.

Why do these fuckers need to take away years of the, for lack of a better word, culture that was formed there? Reddit was a wonderful source of information and play for me. Now it’s so lifeless. If I didn’t still have a sub to mod, I’d be gone so fast.
