Okay you know what? This is a message for antis. Anakin committed genocide, choked his wife, etc. He was redeemed. He came back to the light. Ben Solo is no different. He’s a leader of the dark side and he’ll find his way back to light. He’s only confused. He is definitely redeemable.

Okay I have something to say

For all you people who say “Kylo Ren is a terrible human and doesn’t deserve to live” or that he “isn’t redeemable” think about this for a second. Ben’s confidence while in Luke’s temple was already being shaken by Snoke. He was able to resist it but it stayed in the back of his mind because he had faith in the light side of the force. When Luke saw the darkness in Ben’s mind, he tried to silence it by killing him. That destroyed every last bit of confidence Ben had in the light side. So he fled to the dark where there appeared to be a home for him.

All Ben knows of the light is that the supposed master tried to kill him. Of course he’s weary. It’s not that he chose the dark side because he was evil, it’s that he felt like there was nowhere left to run.

I also think this is why when he asked Rey to lead with him, he wanted to form a new way. He didn’t trust the light side and he didn’t trust the dark side so this was his best option.
