We visited Red Fleet State Park and hiked the Dinosaur Trackway to the sandstone cliffs and lake side cave North of the park. The trail takes you past several sandstone formations and lake views down to the mouth of the cave. Dinosaur Tracks are visible in the red clay slope above the cave. Look close for the tridactyl (three toed) prints. We found them up near the interpretive signs. We also hiked the campground and found it's just a short paddle from the beach or boatramp to the caves if you have a SUP or Kayak. Red Fleet State Park is back in all its glory! Winter was rough (but I still hiked almost every day! - you know the saying, “Neither rain nor snow nor sleet or hail . . . Blah blah blah😬) Spring has sprung up there. Go check it out!! Between 5pm and 8pm is my fav time!! A friend said to me the other day, “Did you quit hiking?” I said “Heck no. Still go every single night!” She said but I haven’t seen you post anything.” Well - I just figured ya’ll had seen enough. Lol 🤓. Since about June 1st it’s so hot so we don’t even get on the trail till around 8:30 or 8:45. Last night was 9 pm! Here’s some beauties I took last night with the full moon! My daily hikes are my way of preserving my sanity. That hour or so is mine! Just me and my thoughts - which usually need some sorting out. 🤔 😬 We all need a little daily alone time. I know that it’s hard for you mommas. Sometimes the best you can do is have a bathroom door that locks!!🤣 Does anyone else have a favorite “alone time” ritual? Where do you go or what do you do be alone with your thoughts? I always have my music with me too. This whole week I’ve been jammin’ to a little 80’s rock. You know -“Welcome to the Jungle”! A little Guns N' Roses. Who doesn’t need a little Axl Rose🌹 in their day?😉. My app allows me to set the bpm so I stay constant on the trail.
