I accessed the instructions since my origami club has a copy of the book, but if you wanna make this you could just use the Francis Ow 60 degree unit from 1:10 paper, and then copy judiciously off of reference photos. As is, the model is extremely loose and suffers a lot of deformity when not placed on a frictional surface like a couch; maybe there were issues with cutting the paper and I ended up with slightly too long strips. You could try for slightly shorter strips but a small change makes a HUGE difference; I wouldn’t aim for more drastic than 1:9.8 or so.
