Originating in Chinese legend, the Red String of Fate is said to be an invisible cord tied between the ankles of two people destined to be soul mates. In Japanese and Korean cultures this became the Red Thread of Destiny or Red Thread of Marriage, tying together the little fingers of the fated couple. Detroit-based leading publisher of fine art editions, @1xRun, says Oakland-based Allison Tinati, aka Hueman's, "freestyle mashups of the abstract and figurative" draw on the human condition and add an ethereal motion to flat surfaces. Traveling to Detroit only days after her 2016 wedding to her soul mate, Hueman partnered with 1xRun and created this mural in the alley between Graviot Ave and Maple St for the annual @MuralsInTheMarket festival.  @hueman_/
