A collection of bull men from the past few days
There's this thing with internet arguments and discourse over media I have noticed for the past several years.
People will insist a piece of media has a certain political theme to it and is all about that theme. Only for the actual media to have a very small part of that theme and that theme isn't explored too much throughout it. It's like people will insist this theme is a major part of that media, making that theme bigger than it actually is. Basically, they are over emphasizing one aspect of a piece of media. I have seen these types of arguments on twitter and YouTube video essays where people take this for granted rather than engaging with the actual media the essayist is talking about. This winds up distorting public perception of this media by causing people to think it's about this one thing when it's so much more than that. Frankly, it's really reductive and I hate it.
I absolutely loathe Izzy’s use of ‘Eddie’ here. It causes a visceral reaction in me. I know we hear Ed’s subconscious apply it through Hornigold in the gravy basket, and Izzy uses it a couple of times on his deathbed. I don’t think it’s meant directly as an insult, but there’s something so belittling and reductive about its use here.
Of course, an ‘Eddy’ is a small whirlpool fighting against the current…
Sometimes the captions for my photos just fall out of my head like bam bam bam. Other times, I just cannot find that right word or combination of words that does the image justice. I don't like letting them go captionless. I've done it sometimes, but... it doesn't feel right :)

To think that these humans could reduce something so gigantic and marvelous into something so simple was wonderful beyond belief.

But let a girl choose death . . . and death becomes her definition, the outcome of her 'problems.'
