*Twirls hair politely* c- could you do give us magnificent clock headcanons? *asks super nicely*
clock bfdi
Bfdi clocm. The clock
I am going to need some opinions on you guys for this one!! His arc with Winner is the part that tripped me up the most. I ended up with a few different ideas.
Righteous. Clock can come off as intense at times-- he's an eager guy, especially when it comes to pleasing others and doing the right thing.
Clock was a huge Loser fan for a few years as a teenager. Imagine how surprised he was to find his out idol was in BFB with him!!
Clock humanizes Loser pretty quickly. That is a person. That is a dude. He's still like.. "wow that's a famous person 😀 and we share a team!! Woah."
As friendly as Clock is, he's lonely. He doesn't really stand out with everyone else on his team. He is the background. It doesn't help that he's only cozying himself up to the most popular people,. Lik e.. lowkey Clock struggles with being overshadowed but wont let himself stand out on his own
This is reaffirmed after he dies. Clock has never died before. In BFDI, it's easy to be recovered after. It may be a bit nerve-wracking but you get used to it. That's what his teammates say.
But like... Clock isn't recovered until months later. It's not because they didn't have an option to recover Clock, it's because they FORGOT about him. COMPLETELY.
It leaves Clock with lasting thoughts.
He is forgettable. He Is a side character. What does it matter, what happens to him? He's been tossed to the side and left to collect dust, all because his allies prioritized the game.
As Clock comes back, he is first confused, then angry, then... Really, really lonely.
It eats at Clock, but Clock has resolve.
Going into TPOT, he still feels lonely. He knows these people, but he doesn't know them. He has no close friends, just acquaintances and teammates.. not that Clock makes much of an effort to get to know them really.
what's the point?
Still, he can go out of his way to help people. He'll do nice things, he'll say nice things.
Then Winner is selected to join. Clock recognizes Winner as someone from Loser's career-- a forgotten relic.
Ok the winner and clock arc
It was apart of the weakest era of tpot,. And then ended on one of the best episodes, TPOT 10.
I think I'd rather end it sooner. But clock is eliminated in TPOT 7. And stays with Four and X for a while before getting sent to Two's domain..
Clock does treat Winner different. Winner catches on. Clock is at this weird place of "winner is a person" and "winner was fucking famous" and,. Cozies up to Winner. Because he is lonely and Winner is forgotten and new to BFDI and.. probably also lonely? Clock is projecting.
What if. Winner goes to Two with their discomfort because Two is the host, yes? Two can do something about it. Maybe Winner asks about switching teams.
Two says "yeah! Yeah, I can sort this out." and, rather than separating Winner and Clock, tells Clock that they need to work things out. Let's go. Let's go work things out
Winner is not ready to talk with Clock again. Clock is saddened by this but Winner does need space. Winner walks off, leaving Two and Clock.
Clock talks to Two about his troubles with relationships, particularly being friends with contestants.
Two sees an opportunity. When Clock is eliminated, they send him to Four and X's kitchen. One-- Two is still adamant that Winner and Clock resolve things; two-- Clock can make friends with non-contestants.
YEAH. instead, Clock gets weirded out by Four and X. X opens up quicker than Four-- Four's standoffish and . Unusual.
Clock goes from helping them in the kitchen to somehow tagging along with them on their adventures. Having a small circle and. Not being on the competition is actually really helping him!
Would love to script a short highlighting their adventures. One of the thousand extra ideas for the redux.
Clock is brought back for TPOT 10. With the space between 7 and 10, Clock has enough time think over his actions-- and he wants to give Winner the space they want, but he can't. Exactly do that in Winner's fucking mind.
This is Winner Backstory Exposition Episode™️-- where Clock opens up about his insecurities, apologizes, and when Winner gets up, Two asks Clock
"Are you happy now?"
"Yes!"
So, with that, Two sends Clock to their domain. Dude.
Be so for real. Clock is alone again-- but he has time to make friends. I hope.
Other option could be sending Clock to Two's domain in TPOT 7 and letting Clock continue to come to his conclusions. And TPOT 10 would happen without him
But? What if he and Twom.. friends.. would also explain why Two decides to keep Clock around and wants to help Clock during the conflict... and the only reason Two actually sends Clock away is because they got looks from contestants still in the game??
If I go with that then it would also explain Two's choice to keep Gaty in the kitchen a secret. Contestants can be JUDGY!
