redux!needle proposal please!!! /nf
HARFHJDHSJAHDHDHDHDJ I go feral. I think Needle may be my favorite canon character and theres. Strong competition for thtat
Athlete! Needle did track and gymnastics in her youth and kept putting those skills to use for the show. She goes for daily jogs in IDFB. She's a bodybuilder too. She's just. All about that life
A songwriter and singer in her free time. It's just a hobby, she'll say. She's self-taught and DAMN good at it.
she does not like the nickname Needy. It's just not appealing. You won't get slapped for it in the redux but she WILL tell you not to call her Needy.
Maybe I'll let it escalate at some point. Let her slap someone who antagonizes her.
Self-sacrificing in the earlier seasons.
Needle joined BFDI craving validation and seeking relationships. She'll note several times that she wants to improve her social health. In fact, Needle is very passionate about healthy relationships and, as the show goes on, that passion only strengthens. She has her reasons.
Seriously. She is all about surrounding herself with the right people.
Approachable, affable, independent, moral, precise, not afraid to be assertive, and competitive.
in BFDI, she complies with that people tell her to do.
I want to focus on BFDIA. That is her season, gotta make it count!! She's in the top four!
Needle is not afraid to throw fists. When she, Gelatin, and Puffball were out gathering ingredients for yoylecake, they come across Leafy. Everything is calm(if tense) until Leafy gets physical with Gelatin. Needle is the one to throw Leafy away.
Why she doesn't tell everyone about Leafy? She has Gelatin and Puffball swear not to(though I reckon Puffball will be the one to speak up anyways), and she herself doesn't either.
Though I may change that,, Needle may talk to Icecube because Icecube and Leafy were friends-- Icecube also has good morals. Puffball would still spill it to EVERYONE though.
As BFDIA progresses, Needle becomes quicker and more determined to be assertive and independent.
Switching to woah bunch. Why. Not because Coiny threatened to call her a nickname she didn't like. Maybe because they had better organization than No-Name.. and also No-Name was falling apart. FreeSmart formed an episode before Needle swaps, so. There's that!
Joining WOAH Bunch gives Needle some good friendships. They work fine enough and she gets close to Coiny and Pin. Those three stay on WOAH Bunch for a long time.
I want her to end up feeling unappreciated on the team. Like she's putting in all this effort and it's going unnoticed-- she's getting no praise for her accomplishments and that!! Kinda hurts.
It's Ruby who approaches Needle after Needle has a rough time. The two of them have a nice conversation and that influences Ruby to decide to use the swap token on Needle.
Needle gets that validation she wants from FreeSmart. She does things, she gets approval. However, she finds Pencil's leadership to be.. controlling.
Pencil demands Needle makes some kind of big sacrifice to prove herself. Needle does when Pencil isn't there to witness it-- but others are!! But nobody on FreeSmart speaks out against Pencil when Pencil tells Needle that she did not make a sacrifice.
Needle argues when she thinks things are being done wrong. Pencil eventually drives Needle out of FreeSmart, telling Needle that there's no hard feelings-- it's all apart of the game.
Needle goes back to WOAH Bunch. WOAH Bunch is a mess.
Pin has been simmering in the background.
No doubt, she'll have some nasty things to say to Needle. When Needle switched to FreeSmart, it was out of her control-- but she had the opportunity to come back to WOAH Bunch sooner.
Yeah.. Needle is working for WOAH Bunch and then FreeSmart, and then WOAH Bunch, and then FreeSmart... it's a cycle.
What breaks her from that cycle is Fries of all people. He's got an apathetic lone wolf vibe and, while Needle doesn't want to match that, she can see the value in his independence.
Fries is doing this His Way and Needle can too.
But Fries also doesn't treat Needle too well-- more like a burden on his shoulders, at first. He has reservations and is very begrudging about being on a team with her, taking the opportunity to split off when he finds it. By the end of their time together, he tells Needle that she can take care of herself.
WOAH Bunch is broken up that same episode. Book goes up to Needle and, just as she's about to ask Needle to come back to FreeSmart, teams are confirmed to be no more.
Needle may've just dodged a bullet. Book is almost always up for elimination-- she could be better at challenges and, from a gameplay perspective, it's not a good idea for Needle to team up with her.
The longer BFDIA goes, the more everyone is dedicated to WINNING. This just furthers Needle's drive for independence.
I said in my BFDIA 22 review that I'm removing her plot with Tennis Ball where she has him under contract. I want to focus on her tensions with Coiny and Pin. She is growing out of her shell, Coiny insists that she's a WOAH Buncher, and Pin is uh. Falling apart at the seam.
ill let her have tension with TB too . TB is in her own world stressing about making it so far and hurting Golf Ball's feelings and now he and Needle are neck and neck in BFDIA 22.
BFDIA 22 WILL end in Needle being one point behind Tennis Ball. In that moment, her losing, she will release all of her boiling stress. She will punch the ground and yell in frustration.
Coiny and Pin have some sort of confrontation before that because Pin sabotaged him. Nobody is having a good time
I want them all to have a talk at the end of BFDIA or beginning of IDFB. Let them sort out their feelings. Let it be emotional. Let Needle realize that she's been kinda inconsiderate. That hey! Actually everyone's been jerks to one another in BFDIA.
What's the best way to mend relationships?
Communication, as it is proven by Pin, Needle, and Coiny's conversation.
Needle goes to Pencil to talk. It's weird, really weird, because Needle KNOWS Pin isn't comfortable with Pencil. Or really any of FreeSmart right now.
Buuut, Needle reasons that this is okay. She won't make Pin and Pencil interact. This is just one conversation anyways, something to smooth any leftover tension. It's a nice talk, topics switch, and Needle finds herself endeared.
She goes back to visit-- primarily to talk to Book. After, Pencil asks Needle if she'd like to hang at some point. Needle says sure. They go out, just the two of them, and end up kissing and sleeping under the stars.
It's WEIRD for Needle. Pencil is a good kisser. The thought sticks in the back of her head as days go by.
Pencil actually tracks Needle down! She asks around and shows up WHILE Pin is there and asks Needle out AGAIN. She admits that she's very confused by her feelings because of the kiss and she wants to pursue something because she hasn't had a lasting romance before.
Girl... it was just one kiss. But also! Very romantic. Needle complies and Pin interjects
"You guys kissed?" Pin looks dumbfounded.
"Yeah, what of it?" Pencil snaps back, looking at her own hand.
Pin and Needle end up having a serious discussion! Pin tells Needle that, while Pin can't and won't control Needle's relationship with Pencil, Needle should be careful. Soenthinglike
"You've told me about your experience on FreeSmart. I've told you about what FreeSmart did to me. Pencil is their leader-- she's going to hurt you."
Needle and Pencil are back and forth. A lot of arguing, making up, being okay, and then repeating it. This lasts for at LEAST 15 episodes before Needle finally STOPS tolerating Pencil's behavior.
They did not get along. Pencil wouldn't change, she wanted Needle for herself, she wanted to be in control and Needle wouldn't give in to that. But Pencil also didn't want to let Needle go, she kept coming back and apologizing just for it all to happen again.
Needle GETS to see what life with FreeSmart is like. She goes on their adventures and breaks off from them. She goes back to Pin, upset, and vents about how much she hates Pencil. They were maybe in love at first, but after the fighting? Certainly not.
Pin isn't ljke. Too comfortable with Pencil as a topic but listens. She lets Needle stay with her and Needle starts to find her balance between independence and healthy relationships.
BFB Needle is relevant in keeping The Losers! stable and breaking up whatever drama Firey starts when Leafy joins their team. It is FRUSTRATING!!
But she keeps a cool head. For the team. All while getting to try her hand at leadership! And she loves it!!
at least she has Coiny and Pin, though they're having their own troubles.
Switching to TPOT was a safe play, though. Four is. Not. Fun for her to be around-- and she needs a break from Firey and Leafy.
Needle is put on Team8s because Coiny wants WOAH Bunch back together. Nostalgic much? WOAH Bunch was disbanded, Needle doesn't want to go back to that title.
Saw isn't participating half the time, Gaty is off with Two, Donut is trying to establish himself as leader, Coiny and Pin are STILL having troubles, all while Coiny is also trying to put Pin in charge.
...Needle kind of wants to be in charge. Coiny can't see how much everyone's changed. Come on dude.
Still, though, Needle does what she can to help the team!
Team swap happens. She's magically put on Bagged and ends up arguing with Pen about carrying an object. It turns into a fun and short-lived rivalry-- and the two of them start a friendship!
...that is completely crushed the next episode.
Needle is eliminated alongside Barf Bag.
Her friends! She's not ready to leave them. She's found people to get along with and-- she's brought to a strange place. Is,. That where Two puts them?
..maybe not, because she and Barf Bag. brougjt face-to-face with a new number, One. One offers them a way out and Needle is quick to accept, though Barf Bag hesitates.
They are teleported to Bomby and Bell, two eliminated contestants who had gone missing the episode prior, and are left to wander an endless field.
Until, after god knows how long, they reach a door that leads them to some sort of playground.
Needle takes charge and the others seem to really rely on her. They had to leave Bell's string behind so Bomby could carry her.
Something rustles, Bomby LAUNCHES Bell at it and out comes Six! Six is defensive and tense, realizes that these objects came from One's OPEN door, and now rush to go Four.
Because they had seen Four's door open before. However, since then, it had been locked. Not even Needle is able to open it-- banging on it does eventually draw someone's attention.
Bracelety opens the door and lets them in, then goes to run out but Needle pulls her back. No.
Bracelety puts up a small fight, saying that she doesn't want to stay any longer, as Six and Barf Bag close the door. Heartbreaking.
Needle tells Bracelety that they need to get out of Four in order to contact him and warn him about One.
In BFB, EXITors managed to escape before. In TPOT, it happened again. Needle and her friends NEED to see how they did it.
Bracelety is alarmed and quickly agrees, telling them that the EXIT is locked as she shows them the door.
...nobody here can lockpick.
Now they're stuck trying to find a key or a way to grab Four's attention.
And Barf Bag disappears. Six points it out-- Bell, Bracelety, and Bomby panic while Needle keeps a cool head again. If they're ALL panicking, how will they stay focused?
They eventually have to stop knocking on the door to try searching fro Barf Bag. This'll get them back to Bracelety's camp, deep in Four's Domain, where Roboty happens to've teleported to get away from the LITERAL HELL on Earth.
..Roboty won't take them back though. He refuses, but they do bring him with them to keep searching for Barf Bag. This'll let him and Bracelety have some scenes together.
The rest'll go dependijg on how canon goes! As of this post, TPOT 20 isn't out.
If Needle's party gets out of Four's Domain now, they'll probably just end up in One's Domain again. In that situation, Needle and Bracelety will both finally break.
Fun side note I'm thinking of making WOAH Bunch and abbreviation of something else. Like. Welcoming Others and Helping Bunch,, prolly suggested by Pin. Ironic, how that team loses its meaning as BFDIA progresses. Is that of any substance to you guys
