He'd been in Storybrooke for only a few days now, and though he wanted to get the hell out of this sedate little town, he was pretty damn sure this would be the easiest con of his entire life. He didn't even need to break a sweat; he'd be in and out in a few days, and off to the next conquest.
That gal at the diner - Ruby - was where he'd set his sights. She seemed almost too easy to charm, which had him a little more on guard, but it was a nice contrast to the harder con jobs he'd carried out.
He'd flirt with her a little, sucker her out of some money, and sleep just fine knowing he had some cold hard cash lining his pockets. On his fourth night of staying at the bed and breakfast, he noticed the skies darkening a little early. Strange, but he didn't think much of it. There wasn't much at all to do in this small town, but he figured he'd stop by The Rabbit Hole this evening, maybe grab a few glasses of bourbon. Grabbing his coat, he headed downstairs, gazing out the windows again. Damn, it looked nasty out there.
