Advice for when you’re insecure w/ your art and my process of experimentation

Using references in art is a vital part and not a crime. Many still consider references cheating. But seriously... how do proportions work? Where goes the hand? Can you see the leg from this angle?  Artists throughout time used references.

Edit: The program/app I use for this is “Easy Pose” on iPad. It’s available on Steam and the Google Play Store, too, but I don’t know if there are differences to the iOS version...
