the way you color skin is so awesome. how do you make it look soft like that? witchcraft
Thanks! Luckily for you I have a process of one of my latest pieces documented, so I can show you how I do that ↓↓↓
Basically I use hard brush (felt tip pen marker brush on CSP) with low opacity to create soft shading almost without using blending tools(I use blender a little at the beginning if I draw older/structured faces and a bit more often when drawing young girls for example, but still not much) and a lot of lasso tool + changing brightness & contrast
It leaves a lot of hard edges which sometimes are unnecessary, so to make it look soft I slap rendering noise filter and random textures on top of all that and the skin turns out looking soft from the far and textured if you look up close
Here's another example how I make my lasso edges less visible under all these filters:
