Day one of giving the First Order droids oil baths could have gone better. Probably should have started with the easier droids. Droids like the refrigeration unit who don't move much and have less...personality.

Long story short, there are few things quite as amusing as watching a room full of younglings attempting to chase a very oily (and very cheeky) BB-9E around a very slippery room (some of the newer droids like to splash) with a towel.

Let me tell you, the only way it could have been more entertaining is if Yakety Sax had been playing in the background.

Getting ready for the concert. It’s almost time!

Doing some last minute alterations on the shiny, silver gown I made for the Captain. It’s incredibly flattering and marvelously tailored, if I do say so myself.

Used the leftover fabric to make a fancy outfit for K8-T3. I know droids don’t traditionally wear clothes, but she has a date with the refrigeration unit this week and wants to look a little special.

Headed back to my quarters after the concert last night, but K8-T3 got there before me and had attached one of my socks to the door. Guess she brought the refrigeration unit home with her. Fortunately, Deej let me share her bunk so I didn’t have to room with M4-RT1N. I love him with all my heart, but fights start when both people want to be the big spoon, and I value our friendship too much to risk it again.

Encore concert was lovely, as expected.

K8-T3 was going to be my plus one, but she ditched me and took the refrigeration unit as her date.

Ah, well. Deej was happy to see the show a second time. She knew I needed someone to hold me while I sobbed all the way through the “All I Ask Of you” duet with Hux.

Was very prepared to be grumpy at the droids when they came home from partying without me last night.

But Katie sweet-talked the refrigeration unit into giving up a WHOLE BOX of freezy pops to bring home to me.

I’ve lived with K8 long enough to know it was a bribe to appease me and not a genuine act of kindness (especially when she chucked the gift in the general direction of my head), but the thoughtfulness behind the manipulation still warms the cockles of my crotchety, old heart.
