Fava bean time! We harvest the first favas of the season today--the young and tender ones for future fritellas! Happy fava season everyone!
Our evening walks, before meeting in the kitchen for lessons and dinner, have been even more beautiful than usual lately. Spring in Sicily is truly something that inspires a new energy and inspiration in everyone. It is stunning! Wild flowers are popping up all around, hundreds and hundreds of varieties--colors and shapes of all kinds. The hills have taken on a new hue and texture and the air feels even fresher than usual. You must come see spring in Sicily!! There are fresh vegetables aplenty, flowers for picking, the new seasons’ wine and olive oil, and the weather is divine!
