I'm never more at home than at the theatre. I love rehearsals. Yes an audience brings a great energy and we are working to show them something great.

But recently I'm AD on a show and I do a lot of the set up and locking up of the theatre.

I set the props and set pieces we need ready to start. And i switch on the lights and then after we've had our fun and made some progress. the actors go. And its me. I put the props and set and now costumes away. I lock the cupboard. I go into the office, a secret place not only off limits to the public but to the actors. To many of the crew. I put the keys away.

I go into the booth and power down the lights. mine are the last eyes to see the stage that night.

Then the director locks the doors and we bid goodnight ready to do it all again a day or so later.

I just love the theatre. It's where I'm meant to be.

We're doing acts 3-5 and it's actually going swimmingly I'm so pleased,though a group was touring the theatre and they happened to come in on the eye gouging scene so I hope they're not put off by that

“Y/N, why are you improvising so much?” Sicheng inquired, laughing. When he enlisted the help of his girlfriend to help him in rehearsing for his drama, he didn’t think she would just go off script and make him laugh so much.

“What? I’m just bringing more life to it,” she clenched her fist dramatically, making him laugh even more.

“Can you not bring so much life to it? I need you to be serious,” he replied.

Y/N giggled, “Fine. I’ll say the actual lines.”

“Thank you,” he smiled. The two of them continued to rehearse together and Y/N said the lines normally. She still wanted to dramatize and improvise, but that would not help her boyfriend in the long run.

When Y/N noticed a kiss scene, a small smile formed on her lips because she was more than happy to kiss him, rehearsal or not.

“Are you really okay with me kissing someone else other than you?” Sicheng asked. He had been worried that Y/N would not be too comfortable with him kissing his co-star, but she has assured him time and time again that it was never an issue for her.

“Of course I’m fine with it. It’s not like you and your co-star are dating. It’s just acting,” she assured, “Are you okay with kissing someone else other than me?”

“I’m fine with it, but I’m worried you might be upset,” he answered.

“I’m not upset with it,” she reassured.

“Okay,” he nodded, smiling.

“Anyways, back to the script. I’m starting to like it,” she remarked.

He chuckled, “Of course you are.”

The two of them went back to rehearsing and as soon as a kiss scene, Y/N was super excited to do it. She loves kissing Sicheng and this kiss scene was the perfect excuse to do so.

Or so she thought…

He just touched his lips against hers and that made her body freeze up from the shock. She wasn’t shocked about the kiss, and she hoped that he didn’t think that. She was shocked at the fact that he was kissing her like it was something to get over with.

“Y/N, are—“

“Did you really just do that?” Y/N questioned.

He furrowed his brow, “Do what?”

“Did you really just touch your lips against mine as if you were kissing your grandmother?” Y/N narrowed her eyes at him.

Sicheng did not think she would be upset by that at all. He thought she would just count it as part of the acting process.

“Umm…y-yes,” he answered, feeling a little scared.

“We don’t do that kiddie shit here,” she firmly stated, tossing the other script onto the coffee table. She took the other out of his hand and tossed it right beside her own, then pushed him down in the process.

“Y-Y/N…umm-“ her lips were immediately upon his, silencing any verbal protest that he may have had. She was not going to hear it until she erased the memory of whatever that was from her mind.

“Wait. We. Still. Have. More. To. Cover. In. The. Script,” he managed to get out between kisses. She ignored all of what he was saying and continued to kiss him. It didn’t take long for him to just give in, but he did.

When she pulled away, leaving his lips glossy, she looked down at him with a smirk on her face. He was in a daze below her.

“That’s how you should kiss,” she told him.

“Mhm,” he nodded still in a daze. Y/N pecked his cheek, then began sliding off of him. She felt his hands stop her and she looked down at him.

“Can we practice that one more time? I don’t think I have it down quite right,” he said. That statement brought a smile to her face.

“Sure,” she giggled. She positioned back on top of him and leaned down to kiss him once more. She really loved it when she helped him to rehearse his lines because it would lead to moments like this.
