There is something actually sickening about the idea that the man you hate with all your heart is the only one you know is truly him. There is something so terrible about noticing the same eyes that you know have watched you be the same that stare at you now. Anyone think about how Lyle keeps Sam in a photograph, trying to salvage his life in case he dies. Anyone think about how selfish it is to let a man keep living, stuck within a photograph with your soul trapped, all because one person who is obsessed with you will not let you pass on. Anyone ever think about how Lyle, when being attacked, lets the soul stolen photo develop and watches in real time as Sam becomes disfigured. Anyone think about the loss of autonomy, of power, that Sam experiences by a man who has stalked him from a long time. Anyone think about the lengths Lyle would go for Sam, even ripping his hard work for an old Mazes and Wizards campaign if Sam is to deem it cringe. Anyone think about how Lyle breaks into Sam’s home after the second kiss he gives him, assuming that since they are so close that he has the privilege to just enter his space. Anyone think about the reality of Lyle’s stalking and obsessive behaviour towards Sam and how, in a light that is not romantic on Sam’s end, it is a horror in it of itself.

I actually do enjoy Leland Coyle as a character if you ask me. I believe that he is a representation of the time period and just overall behaviour to young boys and how authorities ( whether it be parents, teachers, or overall older figures ) as well as society as a whole have this habit of dismaying their bad actions and chalking it up to “Boys being boys.” I certainly believe that sort of behaviour had contributed towards the lack of regard for the morals of his actions and his actions overall. I also full heartedly believe that he has a sense of justice and law to which he defines as his own moral compass with such strength that it is absolutely fascinating to analyze with all context said.

Paidintern where they both start off disliking each other and baffled at the idea of the other’s lifestyle / entire existence which gets thrown upside when both of them misread their each others odd mannerisms to each other as feelings of romantic / sexual / overall complicated attraction to one another to which they both tackle internally to try and maneuver through “the other’s crush on them.” Then those feelings turn real

I don't go here as much anymore but the idea that Ralph and Piggy bonded throughout the trauma and gained a crush that was muddled with a desperate connection because, as much as Ralph found him annoying before, he's the only one who stuck by him
