A Lot of News This Month on Wolf Cast Changes
We left off with Vince Riley being a no show in court. Now Sam and Nolan are calling everywhere looking for him. Suddenly, he shows up at their office, apologizing profusely (and slightly slurred) for being a no show. It's concerning and Nolan tells Sam to call Brady and report that Riley has been found and in the meantime, whisks Riley into his office for a chat.
He tries to give Vince coffee, but Vince doesn't take it. He's restless and upset because the bystander that stepped in front of and was struck by his car while he was pursuing the defendant has died in hospital. Nolan: Vince, have you been drinking? Vince: Does it matter? Nolan, in his court voice: Is that a 'yes'? I appreciate the show remembering way back to season 23, shortly after Vince's intro, that we found out he'd had a drinking problem before, that had gone as far as leading to a disciplinary when he punched a superior defending Kate Dixon from misogyny and that was why, when Cosgrove left, she brought him on to the squad. And Nolan knew about it, because he made Dixon tell him in the context of the case of the week.
Vince goes on to tell him that he lied in his account of what happened. He hadn't had any reason to think the suspect had a gun. Nolan tells him to stop talking, that he's the wrong person to tell, that he's a prosecutor, not a priest. Vince retorts that he's exactly the right person to tell, because he wants to tell the truth. Nolan calms him down by explaining that sometimes accidents happen and that doesn't make them less horrible but that doesn't make them less accidents.
He asks Vince if he can call someone for him, but Vince is as GenX as Nolan and insists he's fine and he sort of staggers out of the office. Nolan is lost in thought for a moment, until Sam comes in and he gets up to grab his coat. He's going to make sure Vince gets home okay. In the meantime, can she call the accused's assistant and see if he can corroborate any part of his story about the death being an accident.
Nolan and Sam go to Rikers to offer the defendant a deal. If he pleads guilty to the lesser charges offered, he'll get 6-8 years instead of 25 to life. Cordelia urges him to accept it and he does. As they're leaving... Cordelia: So what made you offer the deal? Nolan, unconvincingly: I.... thought the jury might believe him. Cordelia: Oh, so not a change of heart, then. That's a shame. Come on. I'll buy you a drink. Nolan - well, see his face in the last pic.
I like seeing Nolan and Vince have real conversations. We got two this year after like two years of a desert. I'm pro Nolan and Vince being friends and not JUST because it reminds me of Hugh and Reid playing besties in Late Night (2018). I also like the continuity with Vince and I like whatever this frenemies dynamic with Cordelia is. I think she either taught him in law school or mentored him early in his career. What do you guys think?
Have you seen Venom (2018)?

Haven’t even heard of this movie
Hi Mike, Jacob, and Mutt
We all know that these two shows were produced by the same studio, Titmouse. Inc, and they left behind many cameos And the protagonists are all voiced by the same voice actor
I just started watching, so these small details are not all of them😋 I know there is Mutt nodding-toy appearing in one of ep Turbo, but I haven't seen that ep yet
Hi remote control
The fake beard he wears is also brown
A trivial topic that is not very important
