when i went to a catholic middle school, one of the assignments was to pick a saint and make an instagram account for them and i just found mine
13 year old me had no business being this funny
I love my teacher but can she stop telling me to write in a book? I only have one and when it comes round to studying I have to flip through it trying to find a specific topic when if i write on my laptop then it's not only all concise and organized under key terms etc. but i can also do a keyword search if I'm looking for something in particular. 😭😭😭 It just pisses me off. And I can write for hours on end without any issues so there's really no point because that's why she want me to handwrite. I'm just gonna be petty when it comes to exam/study time and be all 'since its all in my book its all scattered and I can't find anything that i need now that its study time, boy I wish it was all in my laptop so it would be concise and id also be able to word search if necessary'
Ok, before I tell this "funny" story, I wanna say that I am from germany. So the proof is gonna be german, and religion classes are, I think, a bit different than in the US
So, in our religion class, we had the topic "what is religion?" and we talked about like stood and all. So on as a graded assignment, we were supposed to take a youth phenomenon and say if it could be a religion and make a presentation about it.
Me and a friend of mine (my ex) took fandom, specifically supernatural. We got an A for it, and our teacher wanted us to present it. I was the one who did all the work for the presentation bc she was only at like season 2 and so only u presented it, but still. It was very nerdy, and I gave a whole shunk on extra information that wasn't even in the presentation bc like I WAS ALLOWED TO TALK ABOUT MY SPECIAL INTEREST ON AN ANALYSIS LEVEL IN SCHOOL IN FRONT OF PEOPLE WHO WOULDN'T WANT THAT.

Have to read an excerpt from 'A Call to Happiness' Oh boy. Answer questions how is happiness (sometimes) objective, subjective, and obligatory free space to complain about it (what you agree/disagree with).
Current position: going through the third draft of my essay for my Religion, Crime and Law module (due in 12 hours), trying to highlight all the parts that need editing. It's a 3,500 word essay and it's worth 100% of my grade for this class. Currently reckon I'd get a 2:2 if I handed it in like this, so definitely some substantial work to be done, but I'm grateful I have a whole draft to edit, and am not only just starting now. Technically I could submit this rn and pass the class, but the whole thing is just a mash of words and terminology and while it explains bits and pieces to do with the essay question, it doesn't flow properly as a discussion piece yet D:

hello study pals! haven’t been on here for a while. it’s been a month since i started uni! i’m an european law major and i really enjoy the lectures i have. saddly, we can’t have them on the campus but that’s all rights, staying safe is our highest concern right now.

Yesterday my religion class had a speaker about chastity. He said that the more people you have sex with, the less oxytocin your brain produces until eventually you are unable to form bonds with people. He said that having sex with people you don’t intend to spend the rest of your life with trains your brain to become unable to bond with potential romantic partners. He said it was especially bad for women as it could harm the relationships you build with your children.
Is any of this true? I got strange vibes from this dude so idk if I can trust him
