What is this noise I am hearing?

It has a definite origin point, but nothing is amiss there.

It is a quiet, yet a shrill high-pitched electronic noise that occasionally switches between rapid (around 10hz or so) beeping and a constant tone.

Despite being consistent in both location and nature, as well as there being multiple instances of the noise stopping and starting, it is undetectable to the microphone of my phone.

I'm creating an OC that is made of copper, so they can absorb energy and redirect it but stronger, and they rust as a weakness, but I don't know much else about how copper works, so I'd like some help plz.

If you peeled yourself like a clementine would all your skin come off in one big connecting piece or would there be a bunch of small annoying pieces that are more stuck to the thing itself. Basically does skin connect better to other skin or to the tissue and muscles and stuff on the inside. Science side of tumblr help I must know
