It’s a typical whirlwind Monday for me, a fast busy day at the office. And then my second job, or home life begins as soon as I step outside. Reminding my youngest to call me or at least respond to my text messages, I know he’s okay its the process that I’m trying to get down pat with him. Singing lessons are always a highlight for him and as well for me. He has a great time, it helps with his speech and music soothes the soul. Glad they are at the beginning of the week, navigating the beltway always a challenge at rush hour, but the priceless face is worth the pain. Dinner in the thermos is always fun with him, and he enjoys it so much, veggies and juice to wrap that up after lessons in the car. A stop for me for the bathroom and dessert of a hot fudge sundae for Nick. I’m already on that side of town, pickup the girls from the local Panera (thankfully) they ate dinner their tonight. Bring everybody back to our side of town, traffic was weird but what do you expect when the subway has an emergency shutdown and everyone has to drive in or catch a shuttle for the next month, but I get everyone where they need to be instead of being stuck on the east side till 9pm tonight. Had Bri check the word problems Nick had (I’m not confident on word problems or common core) but it seems we got the first 3 right, and he wrapped up homework, we all printed out and sign documents needed for tomorrow, and made pancakes for tomorrow...since I opted out of meal prep yesterday...due to rainy day laziness...I think I was due for it. And as I navigate through mail, pay bills, and discover my laptop battery is slowly dying-needed to take apart and reset the battery and now its charging again, I realize I never grabbed dinner for myself, had trail mix and water but dinner...hmm thankfully I remembered to thaw a piece of salmon, heated that up with leftover rice and now I’ve had dinner...not bad its a few minutes before 9
