1. What are your ideal writing conditions? Ie. weather, noise, time of day, etc.

Oddly enough, when I shouldn’t be writing. All my best ideas seem to come to me when I should be occupied with something completely unrelated. Otherwise, when I’m alone and in a quiet space. I usually play Lindsey Stirling while I work

2. Is there anything that prevents you from being able to write?

Moods, I think? Like if I’m all around frustrated I can’t get a single sentence on paper. It sucks

3. Do any of your characters have nicknames?

Olivia: Sushi or Ollie

Remus is usually just Remy or Doc

Will is called William, Willy, Wilbur, and any other variation of his name to tease him

Travis is Tiny T

Otherwise they all have dumb names for each other in their phones. Like, Remus is 'complicated coffee’ cuz of his addiction to dumb Starbucks drinks

4. What mythical creature would you want to own as a pet?

An Enfield. Sure they’re wild and probably really dangerous but if you got one as a baby and raised it you… might be okay?

5. What holidays, if any, do your characters celebrate? (Don’t have to be real world holidays, if you’ve made up your own I’d love to hear about them!)

Most of the holidays in our world still exist but many of them still follow their origins as pagan holidays except like, I dunno, the Jewish ones. I’d go into more detail but I don’t have any more details to go into. The Wolfie's celebrate any and every holiday their schedules will allow

6. Your current read/the last book you read?

My current read is “Simon vs The Homosapien Agenda”. I haven’t gotten very far so I can’t really speak for how good it is yet

7. Are any of your characters living out a dream of yours? If so, who and what?

Um yeah? Olivia is a mermaid, and 90% of my other characters are werewolves which isn’t all sunshine and rainbows but it’s still pretty damn cool

8. If invited to an open themed dress-up party, what would your characters dress as?

The dumbest things ever. Olivia is a sushi roll or a literal fish. Remus would probably be a mad scientist. Travis will absolutely dress in the most dramatic, stereotypical wizard robe he could possibly find.

Tori would be a flapper. 100% this is Canon.

Will would forget about the party and stay home.

9. Are any of your characters religious? (Again, made up religions welcome!)

Dunno about religious but the Wolfie's are very spiritual. I guess their belief in the moon being a goddess would count but 'worship’ isn’t the right word for the relationship so idk

10. Which of your characters would write their own book, and what would it be about?

Gracie would write a sci-fi book. More like a short story.

Tori would write a 'how to lead a pack of weirdo werewolves, for dummies’ instruction manual because she can’t for the life of her figure out why this shit was NEVER WRITTEN DOWN.

I have had literally no ideas for my /actual/ story which sucks a lot but I still wanted to write so I made Tori the Trollhunter so yeah, that’s cool

The trolls gathered around the five of them, shouting accusations and questions and insults, and Tori began to feel uncharacteristically claustrophobic beneath the other monsters who towered three feet over her own head, at least. She backed up, hitting Remus, who put a hand on her shoulder as if he was trying to keep his sister from falling to the ground.

“What’re humans doing here?!”

“Fleshbag!”

“A changeling?”

“Get em outta here!”

“What are you up to Blinkous?!”

“My friends, there is no need to be afraid!” Blinky shouted, and though Tori could hear his voice quite well with her sharp ears, it still died out in the crowd of others, all vying to have their questions answered before anybody else. “Master Tori here is the new-.”

“What is going on here!?!” The crowds parted enough to let through an enormous, barrel chested blue troll at least nine feet tall slouched, with a back covered in spikes and six enormous horns. He looked super badass. And he also looked pissed. “Humans have never sullied the ground of Trollmarket before! Who are these fleshbags?”

“But we aren’t-” there was a tap on her shoulder and Tori turned to see Remus shaking his head.

“We’ll explain later.” Tori nodded.

Blinky laughed nervously. “Believe it or not, she is… how do I say this… our new Trollhunter.”

Draal roared and slammed his fists on the ground. “Bushigal! She can’t be the Trollhunter! She’s not a Troll!”

Tori felt ARRRGH’s low growl resonating in her chest. “Amulet chose,” he said as he propped up the werewolf once more. Draal snorted like a bull.

“Lies! I should be the Trollhunter! When my father was felled in battle, the honor should have passed to me!”

Tori’s eyes widened. This was Kanjigar’s son? His son?!

“Alright yeah I get why this would be a problem,” Remus piped up, voicing both of their thoughts. “But it’s not like she chose it man, it chooses for itself, right?” Draal snarled at Remus, and Tori could feel her sibling’s silent laughter. 

Four large, heavy hands very suddenly took ahold of Tori’s shoulders, pushing her as gently as a crazy strong troll could away from the enormous Draal. In the corner of her eye, tori saw ARRRGH do the same for Olivia and Remus. “Well you can take it up with Vendel if you are so concerned. Until then, we have very important matters to attend to. Lovely seeing you, as always, Draal. Come Master Tori, let us begin your training.”

Tori felt Draal’s anger rolling off of him. She was glad to leave it behind.

The group walked for a while. Trolls stared down at Tori and Remus and Olivia. Confusion, wariness, and hostility crackled in the air like static, making the hair on her neck stand on end. She kept her head down, looking mostly at the armor that still hung onto her body, and the amulet on her chestplate. Tori had a sinking feeling that this wouldn’t stay fun for much longer. She wasn’t sure how that made her feel.

At least she had weapons. Well, one weapon. She could protect herself, and her family, and her Zach and her Gracie with this hugeass sword. The weight of it stayed strong on her back as one of Blinky’s hands guided her to whatever this place was they were going to. With his others, he gestured along with his words, showing the comparative children (and actual child) the many shops and the pub and ‘tattoo’ parlor where the trolls chiseled markings into their skin. It was pretty cool, actually.
