I’m not very good at things like these to be honest. Weaving a high-fantasy story and putting into words my honest feelings of thanks and gratitude to people are two entirely different things, and the latter is infinitely more difficult.
But I hope that, as simple as the words may be, each and everyone of you will feel my heartfelt gratitude and appreciation, and know that I rarely say things like these and when I do, I can only mean them.

It’s a very simple map made with a trial version of a map-making software called Inkarnate; @katbshop gave me the idea to use a software to make the map, and I went abt looking for a somewhat free version...I would have liked to make a larger map but they only gave me this much space to work with lmao.

There are still a lot of comments on AO3 I haven’t got back to and I will get around to them slowly! My response rates to Asks has also been slow lately and I apologize orz
I...haven’t been doing too well for a while, for a few months, and it’s been especially tough as of late, but I’m trying my best. I can’t bring myself to vent or talk to many people about it as I cannot help but feel my troubles are not worth it.
It’s effected my sociability and my updates pace; I know C29 took the longest to be released and many were worried that GWS would be one of those fics that got dropped halfway.
I just wanted to say I am grateful for everyone’s support here and on AO3, and I will continue writing so please do not worry if updates are slow. (and drawing, if anyone is even interested in that from me)
I still very much enjoy interacting with everyone, so please feel free to continue sending in Asks even though I might not respond right away, which I hope you’ll all understand >.<;
So this is something that has happened a few times now, and I always dealt with it quietly but it has happened again so I'm making a post about it. It’s exhausting repeating the same thing each time separately🥺
Please do not associate the fanart of other artists with Ghosts We See misleadingly or without credits.
A few times I have found/was alerted to posts on social media where GWS is recommended, and then fanart of the boys were associated with it and passed off as how the boys actually look/are in GWS itself. I really LOVE and appreciate and thank people 1000x over for recommending GWS to others, but-
Please do not tell others a fanart by someone else is actually how Majestic Kuroo or Scary Bokuto etc looks in GWS, or that Akaashi is a Tengu just because the fanart depicts him as one (he is not even close to a Tengu if you read the story...).
The Hyquile HQ/Alternate HQ boys in GWS were all built up with a very specific image and worldbuilding in mind; misleading posts about Akaashi being a Tengu or Bokuto being a mercenary/bandit king destroys the story I am telling with them and just...doesn’t sit well with me. Potential new readers seeing that will also have a totally different expectation of the characters than what is told.
If need be, I have drawn my own designs of some of the boys which you can share with proper credits, and I know they are not even close to being half as good as many of the other arts out there, but I did not describe Alt!Ushijima as wearing flamboyant princely clothes, when he and the entire Empire is built with a militaristic design. And for many of the characters, I am not even halfway close to getting their basic designs out (I will at some point), but it makes me feel uncomfortable to see people associating the art of other people with GWS misleadingly and so publicly on platforms like Facebook etc
All of this takes away every single hour, days, and weeks of planning I put into the characters and the world. The HQ boys do not belong to me, but please at least respect the world and story of GWS and the roles of the characters.
I really appreciate that people love GWS so much that they start looking for fanart to help them visualize/imagine the Hyquile HQ boys. It is totally fine if you are doing it privately, and I also love it when people share with me art that reminds them of GWS. That’s totally fine.
What I do not want is people sharing it and saying things that are untrue/misleading/misrepresenting.
Please at least make it clear that it is your own imagination of the boys if you must, and not mine. I don’t like being strict, and just want everyone to enjoy GWS as much as I am telling it but please be respectful of the story/world I am telling, the roles/image of the boys in Hyquile, and-
respect the art of other artists with proper links and credit.
