I told Blade before he left that I wanted to hear from him. Send me tons of pictures! I had said.

“Of what?” He had asked. What would I possibly want to see?

“I don’t know,” I had told him. “Just if you think of me send me a picture of the sky or something.”

And I have gotten many pictures of the sky since then. Always stormy ones, never clear blue skies with calm winds.

“Why do you always send storms?” I once asked.

“Because you said you liked being inside when it was raining,” he had told me. “Said it makes you feel safe. Thats how you should feel when you think of me.”

And so whenever the clouds gather in some far off planet, the man who death forgot takes a picture. And some light years away, his pretty bunny smiles.
