Do Americans just not realise how much their politics affect the rest of the world? I know it's too much to expect them to care about the world when they don't care for their own country.
They experienced 4 years of Trump's circus and 50% of America just went "yes we want that again"
SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 5, 1967
Prince Norodom Sihanouk, Cambodia’s Chief of State, yesterday contrasted his country’s continuing sharp differences with the United States with a new relaxation in Cambodia’s relations with Communist China. He condemned American policy in Vietnam and claimed repeated violations of Cambodia’s Vietnam frontier by United States forces. At the same time he said he had received fresh assurances of friendship and noninterference in Cambodian affairs from China’s Premier, Chou En-lai.
In Washington it was said that the indications around the White House were that the most intimate advice on Vietnam now reaching President Johnson includes some proposals for tactical policy adjustments but none for any basic change of course. The advice was said to range from a pause in bombing to mining the harbor of Haiphong, but not to include a permanent halt in bombing or to invade the North.
In Saigon it was reported that fighting had flared in South Vietnam’s Central Highlands as action subsided elsewhere. Troops of the United States Fourth Infantry Division fought three times with North Vietnamese forces in brief clashes. The fighting coincided with the end of the rainy season in the plateau area of the highlands. In the air war, stormy weather again limited American air strikes to the southern panhandle area of North Vietnam. One Navy plane was lost—the 725th reported downed in the North.
Republicans will be challenging a number of Democratic strongholds in the scattered, state and municipal elections next Tuesday. Only two governorships are in contention, in Kentucky and Mississippi, with the better Republican chance seen in the former. However, Mississippi will be watched for the showing of the Republican candidate who has sought Negro support rather than try to out segregate his opponent.
Twenty-five years after he fired the first successful German V-2 rocket and almost 10 years after launching the first American satellite, Dr. Wernher Von Braun has now harnessed enough power in one rocket to send a man to the moon. This week in a pioneering unmanned test he hopes to prove it works. Saturn 5, the nation’s moon rocket, is scheduled to be launched at Cape Kennedy, Fla., next Thursday. It will be by far the largest rocket ever flown, nearly 200 times the weight of the V-2 and four times more powerful than any American rocket ever launched.
Although Gov. Ronald Reagan of California has publicly denied that Lyn Nofziger, his press secretary, told reporters that two Reagan staff members had been dismissed as homosexuals, Mr. Nofziger did make such a statement on several occasions, The New York Times has learned.
kill the lesser of two evils narrative, if you don't want to vote, don't
And the republican nominee for the presidency is.......JOHNCENA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Ok but I am still angry that reporters asked Hillary Clinton whether having a grandchild will stop her from running, if she was worried she wouldnt able to be a grandmother and a president
Republican or democrat, this should make you mad. No man has been asked this, if he was concerned whether he would have time to be a grandfather.
Its not even like she is having her own kid! Its a grandchild, which is super important but not totally time consuming majority of the time (yes, i know of the many instances where a grandmother will raise her grandchild but chelsea and her husband are more than capable)
This is not an issue to be asking a presidential candidate, don’t ask Hillary anything you would not ask another candidate
Whether you are pro or con Hillary
Groups of people I've always thought were corrupt and have only cemented my beliefs in the last few years:
1. The Police
2. Republicans
3. The CIA
4. The Army
