I wasn’t saying that pregnancy was an inconvenience. I was saying that in the case of post viability abortions the fetus is only killed because the pregnant person doesn’t want to raise it/give it up for adoption. Never heard of a post viability abortion to save a mum’s life

You literally said they kill a fetus for convenience, which implies pregnancy is not inconvenient. It is. There’s a huge list of symptoms and complications that can affect a pregnant person.

If you’ve never heard of a later-term abortion due to medical needs, you’re just being obstinately ignorant. 

Here’s a list of fetal abnormalities that may (not always) be fatal or cause disease after birth. Abnormalities could cause a third-trimester miscarriage or a stillbirth, which can seriously harm the pregnant person. It’s literally the body initiating an early labor. (And labor is no picnic, either.)

Beyond the purely physical health, there are other reasons as well: 

Mental and emotional health. There’s a slew of conditions that worsen due to pregnancy or worsen due to not being allowed to take certain medications while pregnant. Not to mention there’s specific issues, like tokophobia or the literal fear of being pregnant. 

Financial issues. Pregnancy is stressful on a body and on the bank. Not to mention, places will find excuses to fire you if they find out you’re pregnant and will be out of commission for x number of weeks. Yeah, it’s illegal to do so, but they just need to bullshit some excuse, like “failure to perform adequately” when you’re running to the bathroom everyday due to morning sickness.

There are countless factors and you do not know better than the pregnant person themselves.
