Last nights low temperatures meant it was time for my donkeys to transform into brrr-os! Remember, donkeys don’t have an undercoat like horses do, so wind and rain can have a major impact on their body temperature. Please, cover your asses! 😜

HELP NEEDED! The baby donkey I just pulled from the kill pen is VERY SICK. When the transporter went to pick her up for quarantine, she noticed that the baby was having a lot of trouble breathing. A vet was called out, and said her only chance to survive was to go immediately to an urgent care center. Now little Bean is at the New Bolton Center in PA, hooked up to oxygen and fighting for her life. They have her stable while they determine what the cause of her pneumonia is, and figure out how best to treat it, but she is not out of the woods! They believe she has a fighting chance, and a strong will to live. The only limiting factor will be how much time she can be given to recover at the center - and unfortunately that means a financial limit. Being there is her best, probably only, chance to make it… But it's very expensive. I've set up a page for donations, and I hope that anyone whose heart is touched by the story will share it, and consider donating anything they can. Even a little bit helps! I know there are a lot of scams on the internet – this is not one of them.
