Once Upon A Time in Prague! It's almost a year and a half since we last took our mega trip. We did enjoy a few fleeting weekend ones, but nothing extraordinary. Mumbai Lockdown... Again - Well we just don't learn.  If 2020 wasn't enough, 2021 is turning out to be no different and the city stealing the limelight once again is Mumbai. With a daily count of 10K covid cases, we are entering another lockdown. WFH is the need of the hour, essentials are just the services on, restaurants and hotels (poor guys) are affected once again and it's all back to square one. Only if we were more cautious, kept ourselves safer and maintained the adequate distance and sanitisation. Featuring: Korma + Malabari Parotta at @sankalprestaurant  When in Ahmedabad, Gujarat you expect a wholesome Kathyawadi or Gujarati thali feast or even the regular farsan items like Dhokla, fafda, etc. But what if we tell you, you can find a super delicious South Indian feast in the heart of Gujju land as well?  We were totally blown by the food at Sankalp, right from Idli platter to Dosa platter the variety was grand and delicious! Even the many chutneys they served were so tasty and impressive. While idli dosa are still considered easier bets, we were totally surprised by how good the Korma and Malabar Parotta tasted when we called for this as mains! Probably one of the best we'd had. Featuring: Chilly Cheese Sandwich and Veg Pizza at Amul Cafe!  You cannot go to Ahmedabad and not visit the famous Amul Cafe! Honestly, this joint actually didn't occur to us at first, despite seeing an Amul outlet almost at every corner of Ahmedabad, but when we asked at our hotel where could we go for a quick breakfast bite, he said, "Amul jao, hygienic hai aur sasta bhi!"  Well, isn't that all we need from a cafe these days? Anyway, the food we tried here was decent at best. There were great Amul ice creams, milk variants and coffees up for sale too. To the good times, till we meet again!  From stolen glances to stolen weekend trips, we have come a long way. Covid has taught us all to value freedom more than anything else. Featuring: Gujarati Thali When in Ahmedabad, do as Amdavadis do... have Thaal!  We recently braved the Covid scare and made our way to Ahmedabad to attend our bestie's wedding and while it was fun it was also a food-tastic vacay!  Despite our short stay we did explore the city a little bit and also tried some great food, including this grand Thaal! This was a feast honestly! Like we do see those bahubali thalis etc and wonder how people have it, but when we got a demo of a thali this delicious, we think even Bahubali is doable!  Also, our Aam Ras Puri checklist for this year is DONE!  This thali is totally helping us get through Monday!
