Kinda pretty urgent prayer request

Autism "needing things explained to me a certain way" plus selfshipping gray area of validity is clashing hard with "God Says Maybe Don't Do That"

I won't go into specifics, but I'm having trouble differentiating propaganda from the depths with genuine clarity from the Heavens. Please pray for me that I can overcome temptation and figure out a way to understand this concept before it drives me down the wrong spiritual path.

Me: "But the stinky puddle water tastes good"

God: "But it's bad for you"

"But it's got health benefits"

"WATER has health benefits. You have to filter the gunk out." "But what if I don't have a water filter"

"Then don't drink it"

"But it tastes good and has health benefits"

"Honey."

"What if I strain it through a sponge"

"Getting the chunks out doesn't make it healthy to drink"

"What if I boil it first"

"You don't own a pot" "What if I go buy a pot"

"Then you may"

"The store won't sell me pots"

"Then you may not"

"What if I go MAKE a pot"

"What are you going to make it out of"

"I'll just boil it in my hands"

"Honey that will harm you in an entirely different way. I have some very nice bottled water right over here, you can drink the special spring water once you get a pot to boil it in"

"But what if they never GIVE me a pot"

"Your lack of ability to obtain a pot doesn't change how harmful drinking pond scum is."

"BUT DAD"

"Go rinse your mouth out and stop drinking the scum water it's not good for you"

"BUT WHAT IF I FORGE A POT MYSELF"

"What are you going to forge it out of"

"I'll boil the water in my MOUTH instead"

TLDR: Temptation sucks, especially when autism goes "but why" or "but what if xyz" to every single explanation out there HELP

The prison that followed Joseph’s obedience was not punishment from God—it was preparation. Every season of hardship was shaping him, strengthening his faith, and preparing him for a greater purpose. The same young man who once ran from temptation would later stand before kings. The same prisoner would become a ruler in Egypt. What looked like loss was actually the pathway to God’s promotion.

Joseph’s story reminds us that doing the right thing may not bring immediate reward, but God never forgets faithfulness. Integrity may cost you something today, but it will protect your destiny tomorrow. You may lose the coat, but if you keep your character, God can restore everything you lost and give you even more.

So when temptation comes, remember Joseph. Run from what will destroy your soul. Choose righteousness even when it hurts. Protect your relationship with God above everything else. Because in the end, coats fade, positions change, and circumstances pass—but a heart that remains faithful to God will always be honored by Him. You may lose the coat… but never lose your character.”
