To add on to my last ask, it’s tragic that no one else loves C the way that B does, and bc of the nature of that love and his circumstances, he’s constrained in a way no one else is re: C. Maybe we’ll start the season w/ BC at ease w/ each other (having forgiven one another, renewing their partnership and commitment to being the good guys) and C tense w/ Spacekru, and later on have a shift where C has made peace w/ most of Spacekru (maybe O and Miller too) and is now tense w/ B (+E). 1/2
2/2 Especially when, out of all Spacekru, it’s C’s issues w/ B that’ll be probably the last to be resolved, bc you know-they’re ROMANTIC issues.
I think you’re onto something. The Bellarke relationship is special and no one else shares it. We haven’t seen yet if he’ll restrain himself in that relationship. I mean restrained physically sure, I guess, or maybe not, and maybe he’ll hug her the way he hugs all the rest of his people and for some reason, it keeps not being platonic with her, even though it’s the same hug he gives Emori? That would be interesting to see.
But I do think we might see Clarke reconciling with the rest of spacekru. She has to work through her relationships with them, the distance that she’s had. And it wasn’t just about the six years. Because she had work to do with them before Praimfaya, where she was unable to inspire Raven and turned to Bellamy, even though she used to be the one to do that. Or the blame placed on her from Murphy for her wanheda persona. I don’t actually see the Murphy conflict as being that severe, so that might be resolved pretty early on. But you know, we’ve got Miller too, who was helping O sentence her to death. And we have Octavia herself. I don’t know what we’ll see from Emori and Clarke. And with Echo we have this big forgiveness issue. Clarke sacrificed Bellamy, she sure did, but she also sacrificed herself for Echo, personally, so how will that shake out?
Remember how last season people wanted to see Clarke get reintegrated into spacekru and have a family again? I really believe that’s what we’ll see this season. As all the people who were separated are brought back together in this new world.
I think that the reunion of the delinquents after the 6 year separation is actually a two season (at least) story, and part of people’s frustration with season 5 is that everything wasn’t just hunky dory right when they met. And Clark and Raven and Murphy didn’t even meet at all until the very end in the worst of circumstances.
I think we’re still getting it. The story continues. S5 was part 1, and we got everyone back together, just barely. S6 will be how they reintegrate the lost members of their family.
So in a way, you might be right about Clarke needing to work through all her issues with the rest of the family before being able to address the romance between her and Bellamy.
What parts of her to the other delinquents bring to the picture? I think we’ll see.
