What I learned in my childhood:

Life should be simple. Life should be sweet. Life should black and white.

But it’s not. Life is complex. Life has its ups and downs. Life is just one big gray area.

And that’s okay. It’s time we accept that there are some things we can be and somethings we can never be because each one of us is different. And that can be a good thing.

Beauty, love, and true potential shines in each and every one of us. So don’t limit who you are and who you can be by being someone else. Seek confidence in yourself and don’t be afraid of fitting in because even though we are all just one big gray area we still hold our own hue.

Loving yourself isn't justifying to yourself it's okay to drink a venti latte when you're overweight and unhappy. Respecting yourself It isn't an excuse to make up reasons in order to spit emotional poison at other people when you have a bad day. Knowing yourself isn't a reason to put others down because you want to boast about your own accomplishments. Loving/Respecting/Knowing yourself is about having the balls to call yourself out and own up to your own bullshit, because when you no longer have bullshit to be called out on, that's when you know you love yourself.
