Choose your fighter 💪😂 these are just a few of my reusable makeup wipes that I use on the regular! (My @mimmiskin one is currently filthy from a heavy makeup look, so it's on the 'dirty' hook haha) . How do you store yours? I just have a couple of these suction hooks from ikea that I hang them on in my bathroom so they can easily hang & air dry after I clean them, that way I always have some ready to use when I need them. . . . . #rubyreminiscence #reusablemakeuppads #ecofriendlyliving #ecofriendly #sustainableskincare #reusable #skincarejunkie #skincareobsessed #skincarelover #ausbeauty #beauty #beautyflatlay #makeupflatlay #bbloggersau #bbloggerau #ausbeautybabes #ausbeautyblogger #beautycommunity #beautyaddict #discoverunder1k #discoverunder5k #instabeauty #instabeautyau #スキンケア #스킨케어 (at Brisbane, Queenland, Australia) https://www.instagram.com/p/CZ1mf_ZpE3b/?utm_medium=tumblr

There are a few areas where most of us could cut back on our bathroom waste. If you’re taking your first steps down the path of eco-friendly living, you might want to begin by swapping out some of these common bathroom disposables for reusable options! Don’t stress - it’s much easier than you might think.
The thing is that an eco-friendly bathroom MAKES SENSE! It saves you money (loads of money), saves annoying run outs, reduces the amount of toxins you are exposed to, annnnd reduce the amount of pollution destroying our planet!!!
Hence reusable bathrooms really are a total WIN/WIN - but we have realised it is the unknowns that tend to make people cautious, so we have decided in invest in creative new ways for people to get informed.

Many of you know that I have a massive addiction to crochet 🧶 and that I am also on my own zero waste journey. I am trying to reduce my use of #singleuseplastics in my life and also inform others of what they can do. You might well ask what this has to with the mandalas in the pictures. Well, it’s to do with my obsession with not throwing things away and also crochet. I have a huge 🧶 stash in my house that I have collected over many years. This does however give me somewhat of a dilemma. As someone who is trying to reduce the amount of plastic I use this leads to the obvious problem of acrylic yarn 🧶! Well I have lots of it and if I don’t use it then someone else will. Who is to say that if I give it away it will not be used on a project that could be said to be sustainable in as much that I can make market bags from all this yarn. I can also make decorative items and blankets among some of the items my hooks can hook up. I also have cotton/ acrylic mixes; wool; bamboo viscose; and probably some others as well like silk. My current plan am I would love your thoughts on it if you have managed to get to the end of this essay 😂 is: - make #marketbags and bags out of the yarn that is the best weight for them. - use all my #cottonyarn as far as practical for #reusablemakeuppads,#showerscrubbie and a new line of #soapsavers with some gorgeous soaps in them from @treebeeapothecary - make #mandala hoops from all my fingerweight yarn of whatever material it happens to be. - have a play with what is left and maybe make up some fun and funky blankets. - watch out for my #Christmasbauble strings. I’ve tried to be creative with using up odds and sods of yarn 🧶 and I think they look pretty cool even if I do say so myself! I would love your thoughts on my plan on both a crocheter point of view and also any of you who focus more on #zerowaste and reducing plastic because let’s face it I am potentially making some products with plastic in but they are not single use. I have thought long and hard about this but I can’t see any other way as other wise I am throwing away hundreds and hundreds of pounds that I just can’t afford to replace (at Nantwich) https://www.instagram.com/p/B2APok5lD-K/?igshid=12hw8enu2ozjm
Purchased some new products on amazon the other day.....
1. Reusable mesh grocery produce bags (3 different sizes)
2. Reusable makeup pads (w a laundry bag)
3. Metal straws set of 12 in different sizes
Everyday I am learning new ways to help save the earth, minimizing my usage of plastic by switching to reusable products/bamboo etc. A lot of people don’t understand but, I like to share and spread awareness.
