second art piece I did a long while back for the @gbb2024 and got a fic for :00

this one was based on the fact that as both an older and younger sibling, I am all too aware of the hero worship younger siblings have for older ones and Cas here is in that phase where he wants to copy everything Gabriel does. you can definitely tell this art piece is a bit older though with the way the shadows aren't absolutely insane. somewhere down the line I started making shadows a lot more prominent ig for whatever reason

this might be a dumb question but what is the difference between a big bang and a reverse bang for fics?

Not a dumb question at all. With a Big Bang, fics are written first and then artists sign up to create artwork for them. For a Reverse Bang, art is created first and then authors sign up to write a fic for it.

this is a bit of an older piece I made for the @gbb2024 that I signed up for forever ago and is finally posting

when I sign up for reverse bangs, I purposely try not to make an actual story for an art piece beyond a vague idea of something I wouldn't wanna write up lol. the original idea for this one was Gabriel playing cupid (potentially as a punishment) and spotting the two perfect and most oblivious targets. something something angel AU hence the sandals and robes and yes the kiwi was definitely necessary (shoutout to @lazarus-rose for that one). the author put a more fun spin on it though I think by making a mini case fic thing about mardi gras

so I did a thing for the @cdrcrossoverbang in which I threw some Stranger Things destiel AU content in the mix and caught an author :0 bam magic

this was an interesting banner to do. bikes are awful to draw and so are trees but uh oh I did both. thankfully nothing exploded and thanks to some helpful people in the artist channel for this bang's server, I learned how to layer the trees and such in the background and also added some spooky fog. the trees in front still kinda look bad though lol that's on me

(spoilers but that bike is supposed to be Jo's (as she's filling the role of Will) and is intentionally not girly or anything, and the house is supposed to be where she and Ellen live. so close yet so far)

here's the art piece I originally submitted, with Dean and Cas camped out in a little blanket fort complete with that weird clunky walkie-talkie thing. Dean totally saw Cas and immediately decided he needed more flannel, though the colors of their flannels are intentionally contrasting with Dean's being a warm color and Cas' being a cold one. the same but different. also Cas just looks good in purple imo

I don't usually do reverse bangs for whatever reason but this was kinda chill and I've been wanting to read a ST destiel fic but didn't wanna write it so what better plan than to dump fic ideas in reverse bangs amirite. I now have more ideas to dump but nowhere to dump them oh no though they're pretty disastrous ideas so maybe that's for the best :/

(also I may or may not have signed up for this bang as an author as well don't ask me what happened there I'm indecisive okay?)

someone made the mistake of saying that the @destiel-shit-post-mini-bang Christmas edition needed cringe art and that's what I do best (in a sense) and somehow this led to Dean and Cas as gingerbread men going gingerbread house hunting and naturally I dumped this idea on someone in the reverse bang. you know, like you do

I lowkey forgot this was supposed to be a banner (probably since it's not a table as all my other banners seem to be thdnfjdj) and so it's suspiciously art piece-y. some things: 1 this is probably the only time I'll ever use the sprinkles brush on my drawing app, 2 those red things are supposed to be red hots (cinnamon candies) and were originally going to make up the entire fire before they became the coals instead because they didn't look anything like a fire, 3 I couldn't make the licorice stockings all the same size so let's pretend the massive one is Sam's, and 4 I made the mouse way too ghsnduf to be the sorta bad guy of the fic (since it eats Dean and Cas' house lol) idk it's just too baby ,_,. also I imagine the tree as being made of something gummy hence the pulling sorta bite marks in it

behold the original art piece I bestowed upon the claims gallery, featuring Dean and Cas house hunting and idk Becky is the real estate agent for some reason. I don't think there was any actual logic behind that one chat. but it was fun designing gingerbread versions of the characters and giving them a few defining features like hair and basic clothing outlines. the cookie color is based on hair color btw in case that wasn't obvious

I had way too much fun designing the candies (lollipop flowers my beloved) thrown all over the landscape and adding random details like this abominable cinnamon stick for sale sign, featuring one of Becky's...interesting usernames (it says 'contact samlecker81 for details' since I didn't wanna write a phone number). this was more relevant in my head since I had a thought of Becky maybe trying to sell Dean and Cas a house near her so that she could see more of Sam but that idea got scrapped and I like what the author did with the story way better

as a bonus I made a little divider and this is unironically the best thing I've made in months. I have peaked guys it's over for me
