Reverse Falls Headcanons
So these are my head-canons for the AU known as Reverse Falls, in no particular order. Reblog if you agree with some of them!
-Pacifica Southeast is Gideon Pines' best friend who is staying with him for the summer.
-Fiddleford McGucket worked with Stanford Gleeful before, but he broke ties with him because he had his own ideas of how to control the town (in creating the Blind Eye Society).
-Fiddleford McGucket is still the inventor of the Memory Gun and the founder of the Blind Eye Society, but he led it in secret. Eventually his son Tate found out and Fiddleford erased all of his memories, leading him to become the town’s crazy hillbilly. Fiddleford passed away later in his life, perhaps out of grief.
-Soos is more commonly known as the Gleeful's butler; he takes a certain liking to Pacifica and Gideon upon meeting them and tries to help them in any way he can. Be that as it may, he can't disobey an order given by the Gleeful twins.
-Unlike Bill, Will calls the zodiac members by their regular names.
-Stanford Gleeful is the big bad instead of Will; he wants to rule the universe and will stop at nothing to get what he wants. He trapped his twin brother Stanley in another dimension because he tried to stop Stanford from doing it.
-Pacifica and Gideon manage to get Stanley back purely by accident; during a party for the town, they sneak into the basement and find the big dimension thing, turn it on after a brief argument, and Stanley comes out.
-Mabel Gleeful has a crush on Gideon; Pacifica has a crush on Robbie Corduroy.
-In the finale, Stanford opens the portal to Weirdmaggedon by draining the magic from Mabel’s and Dipper’s amulets into his own and reciting a spell that allows him to steal Will’s powers for himself, nearly killing Will in the process.
-The Zodiac is a lot different than the regular one: the Llama is gone, and the question mark is a lot more “civilized looking”. The six-fingered hand is replaced with a constellation of the Big Dipper (for Dipper). And instead of the Llama, there is a symbol of the Blind Eye Society.
-Mabel is the Gleeful star, Wendy Valentine is the bloody heart, Robbie is the ice bag (their personalities are switched as well), Pacifica is the shooting star, Gideon is the pine tree, Stanley is the Glasses, Gideon's dad—the owner of the Mystery Shack—is the Fez, and the Blind Eye Society symbol belongs to Tate McGucket, the true heir to his father's legacy.
-This particular Zodiac does not defeat a dream demon—instead it gives a dream demon power. Bud, Stanley, Gideon, Pacifica, Tate, Mabel, Dipper, Robbie, and Wendy join hands to create a burst of energy that shoots Will into Stanford's mind, where he starts to take over from the inside.
-Will eventually takes over Stanford, expelling him from his body and getting all of his powers back. This reverses everything that happened after Stanford opened the portal. Will then spares Stanford's life, leaving Stanley to erase all of Stanford's awful memories with the memory gun, claiming that he and his brother could start over again. Mabel and Dipper are accepted into Pacifica and Gideon's circle of friends, and Stanley takes control of the Tent of Telepathy.
-Though he's technically free to go, Will decides to stick around for a while. He becomes the guardian of the town, just in case something like Weirdmaggedon were to happen again.
I just finished editing my revstan blog. pls follow me there and I’ll follow back.
Did your reverse thistle hypnotize carla or did carla dump stan on her own free will
I’m not sure what really happened in canon, but I assume she wasn’t hypnotized. But who knows! \_(ツ)_/¯
In my reverse head canon, Carla and Stan ran away together once they were out of high school. They did some hustling jobs to get by. But once Stan started flat out stealing from people and getting in to dangerous situations, he and Carla started having fights.
Carla goes to the juke joint often and has conversations with Thistle, they form a friendship and when the fights and broken promises from Stan become too much, she leaves him and starts dating Thistle.
Stan is pissed and steals Thistles van and drives it into a riven. This is the last straw. Carla and thistle leave the state and get married.
Besides aesthetic posts I haven’t seen much for reverse Stan and reverse Carla, so I don’t even know what it’s like. Does anyone have any headcanons they would like to share for this ship so we can get a general idea of it?

Reverse Falls Aesthetic: Stan Pines and Carla Mccorkle
@sapphire--queen Embarrassing Dipper seems to be the order of the day. Thanks for the prompt, friend! I hope you enjoy it :)
He was mortified.
Darn Mabel’s idea to add a musical number as the finale of the show. Dipper didn’t mind singing, per se. But the key Mabel had chosen mere minutes before the show was just so high. By the end of his solo, he could hardly hear the backing track over the audience’s howls of laughter over his voice cracks. Even Mabel was in stitches on stage.
Dipper kept up his cheek-straining smile until the curtain fell on them. Then his expression turned dark and he was on a warpath to his uncle’s office. He threw the door open with a wave of his hand.
“Grunkle StaAAAAn!”
Dipper clapped his hands over his mouth to try to stuff the voice crack back in, but the damage was done. His uncle was doubled over with laughter, tears streaming down his face.
“Geeze, kid, you’re killing me!”
Dipper’s hand fell and he narrowed his eyes. “Why’d you let Mabel change the key on me?”
Stan wiped at his eyes and tried to calm himself. “Hey, how was I supposed to know you’d sound like a dying seal? That high note was hilarious! I’ve never heard a squeak that high!”
There was another cackle the next room over. Dipper glowered and swung the door shut behind him.
“Grunkle Stan, I just can’t stand it anymore. My voice is cracking all over the place, I’m constantly sweaty, and no matter how much I wash my face, I still have pimples. Being a teenager sucks.”
For once, Grunkle Stan looked sympathetic. “Kid, puberty stinks sometimes, but there are lots of good things that come with it.”
Dipper didn’t look convinced. “Like what?”
“Like the ladies,” Stan said with a grin.
His nephew’s brow furrowed. “How is puberty supposed help with that stuff?”
Stanley laughed. “Don’t play dumb with me, Dipper. You know…”
He trailed off when Dipper’s face scrunched in confusion. After a beat, he repeated. “You know. The birds and the bees?”
“The what?”
One thing Stanley had overlooked when he signed on to be the twins’ guardian was that he was responsible for teaching the twins about sensitive topics, including the birds and the bees. The task was daunting, but Stan wasn’t one to back down from a challenge. Especially when it was going to be hilarious.
He straightened up and gestured to the chair in front of his desk. “Have a seat, kid. I’m about to give you an education.”
Dipper emerged from the office almost an hour later, pasty and mute and wishing he had never set foot in his uncle’s office. It had started out innocently enough, with a recap of all the things he knew about puberty: hair, body odour, acne, mood swings, growth. But then Grunkle Stan had started talking about lady friends and *feelings* and some outdated practice called hanky panky. Soon enough, Dipper was glued to his chair in horror, only able to stare straight ahead as his childhood evaporated entirely.
Goodbye, innocence. You will be missed.
Compared to all that he had heard, Dipper would take voice cracks and sweat any day.
Do you mind explaining to me what this AU is? If not rhat's fine ^^'
Sorry for the delayed answer :)
Now, I know I’ve explained this a bunch of times before, but I honestly can’t find the posts where I did, so I’m just going to say the same things I always do.
Reverse Falls is very free-form in certain ways. The only set thing is that Dipper and Mabel are the antagonists (Gideon and Pacifica) and Gideon and Pacifica are the protagonists (Mabel and Dipper). It’s up to you who takes who’s place specifically. I personally prefer that Dipper and Mabel share equal roles of Gideon and Pacifica (as in, they are the Telepathy Twins and are rich and live in a mansion) and Gideon takes Dipper’s place and Pacifica takes Mabel’s place.
Dipper and Mabel can either still live in the Mystery Shack or in a mansion and are now the Telepathy Twins. They are always perceived as power hungry twins (some versions more evil than others). They have the amulets that canon!Gideon had. Dipper wears his around his neck, and Mabel on her headband. They wear turquoise and black colored clothes to match the color of their power. Dipper wears either a turquoise or black button up with a turquoise vest and black slacks with his cape and Mabel wears a turquoise button up and either a black leotard or short skirt and heels. They can also have a southern drawl like Gideon if you want. (Also, they are either Gleefuls or Pines. It’s up to you)
Pacifica and Gideon either live in their homes of in the Mystery Shack. Gideon and Pacifica’s relationship is all up to you (aka whether they’re family or friends). Gideon wears canon!Dipper’s clothes, with either a blue hoodie or vest, and his hair is a mess. Or if he’s in Mabel’s place, he wears the sweaters and braces. Pacifica, in canon!Mabel’s place, can either wear sweaters or 80′s/90′s themed clothing. Her hair is almost always up in a ponytail, but it can be down as well.
Bill is blue instead of yellow, and is widely known to be a cry-baby and in general not able to defend himself. A lot of people like to think that he’s just putting up an act (myself included) and that he will be the one to start Weirdmageddon instead of the twins. In the meantime, he is trapped by Dipper and Mabel and is practically their servant.
Stan is either canon!Bud, himself, or an evil version of himself. He is the one who convinced Dipper and Mabel to do the shows and that’s how he’s able to pay for the mansion. I prefer the evil version of Stan, but here’s a version that a lot of people like as well. Reverse Stan is all up to you, though.
Ford’s most popular version is evil magician. It’s somewhat hard to explain with words, so here are some drawings and headcanons of him. x x x x x x x x
This is a drawing of the entire Gleeful/Pines family, if it helps more. x
Robbie takes canon!Wendy’s place and vice versa. With Soos, I like to think he stays the same, and others like to think he works for the twins. Everyone else is up to you and ships are free game. If you have any other questions or if I left anything out, please ask away. :)
