I've been morbidly curious about Brianna Wu's game, Revolution 60. I'm going to play it so you don't have to. Except you do have to watch me
I'm going live very soon to play the infamous Brianna Wu's bad video game.

Fan art for the award winning Revolution 60.
Custom doll of one of the geishabots from Revolution 60. One of them is called Crimson 04 in-game, so I guess I’ll call her Crimson 04.
I actually started working on her in September of last year. I finished almost everything, but her hair came out looking awful. I set her aside for a while, and came back to her this June. I started by shaving her awful original hair off, and ordered a blue doll wig advertised as being 1/6 scale... which turned out to be waaaaay too small to be 1/6 scale and with terrible hair quality to boot. So I ordered ANOTHER doll wig, this time made of faux fur, and it turned out looking pretty darn good. Third time’s the charm, I guess...
Crimson 04′s kimono was really hard to make due to the fabric fraying like crazy. I do like the way it came out though, even if the cut is a bit different.
Like with Amelia and Minuete, her face is made from printed sticker paper that was superglued on the head. The lips were done in acrylic paint, and the robot “ears” are glass beads that were threaded onto the wig and then glued in place. The body and head are Obitsu 1/6 scale.
Presented without comment
So, months ago I made an Amelia doll and said I’d be making one of Minuete as well. Ages of procrastinating later and I’ve actually finished it.
Minuete is one of the main characters from Revolution 60, a game I have very... complicated feelings about. You can read my first impression of it here. I’ll probably write more about it in the very near future, since even though the game can easily be considered a failure (it failed to amass a fanbase and didn’t sell well) it’s an utterly fascinating failure, and I actually... kinda like it. Then again, I like a lot of things I can easy admit aren’t that good.
I first tried making her face months ago and wanted to do a bug-eyed antennae version. It looked awful. The bug eyes just don’t look good on this type of doll head, and the glue for the eyes. got. EVERYWHERE. I guess I lucked out with Amelia when I got the eyes to stay in place while the glue dried. So after shelving this disaster for several months, I decided to return to it and give her a normal face-up. I ripped out the antennae, brushed out some of the hair gel I’d applied months ago, removed the eyes, and scraped off the gobs and gobs of glue gunk that had accumulated on her face. Ugh.
Making the new eyes was easy, I just had to use hue/saturation in GIMP to change the previously-made Amelia eye set orange. Printed them out on clear sticker paper, cut them out, applied white ink to the back, and boom. Ready to go. Thankfully this time I had super glue that dries pretty instantly, so I didn’t have a problem applying the eyes.
The dress designing and production was easier than Amelia’s, but much more tedious. Every little rectangle was hand-sewed together. I had the same issue as with Amelia’s outfit; I realized the dress was too short as I was making it and had to add more material to the bottom. I did use a really neat sci-fi looking black vinyl fabric I found at JoAnn’s. Everything except the garter is removable.
Minuete is not for sale. I said earlier that I didn’t plan on making any other characters... but that might change. This new glue is really versatile and fast-drying, and I could make Holiday or Valentina if I printed the fine details of their outfits on sticker paper and glued it on.
Character/Series: Minuete Kiley, Revolution 60
Time: A day for the hair, put on hiatus for 4 months, and 2 days for everything else
Head/Body/Hair Type: white Obitsu head, white Obitsu soft bust medium w/ magnetic feet and base, Monique wig cut and styled by me
Materials: White spandex, black vinyl fabric, thread, clear sticker sheeting, Barbie shoes, metal jewelry hoops, velcro, glue, paint, hair gel
Custom doll I finished a few days ago. She’s Amelia from Revolution 60 - an infamous game that I have very mixed feelings about. You can read the review I wrote about it here.
I did a lot of experimenting with this, trying new techniques for the face and using plastic sheeting to make the shoe-wings and earpiece.
I tried using custom-printed fabric for her stockings, but it was too thick for the shoes to fit over, so I had to use a back-up pair of simpler Barbie stockings. ^_^;
The face is made from clear plastic sticker-sheeting that was printed on. The back of the eyes were painted white and glued onto the face. Her hands also have the cyborg-wiring seen in the game, but the photos didn’t capture it well. (I need to get a real camera, the one in my phone sucks...)
Everything on Amelia, except the earpiece, is removable. The hat is held on with clear elastic and the jacket and belt are closed in the back with velcro. They are separate pieces.
Amelia is not for sale. I have plans to make Minuete as well, but probably not anyone else.

sketch of tumblrized Alisson Holiday from the game Revolution 60, I kept her ponytail, but made some changes:
*She is now desi instead of caucasian
*She is a little bit more muscular
*Her gloves are fingerless
I need to add more details
Im tumblrizing revolution 60 characters ( come on! I know miss wu had different intentions but the characters look like untumblrized edits) but I dont know if I should make holiday arabic or desi and how i keep her iconic beehive ponytail
