***Spoiler warning*** for Herta’s conversation with Cyrene and the “Hello, World” animated short that played towards the end of the trailblaze mission. Not a whole bunch of cohesive thoughts this time, just me being an emotional wreck.
So.. is Cyrene actually Fuli? Or just a collection of memories similar to THEM? Y’all, I can’t wait til we head to a new planet without time loops and bookshelves filled with lore. Maybe my mind would be able to keep up then.
Of course Cyrene was gonna choose what was best for everyone over herself. There’s no way she was going to pick that first option, where she just removes herself from all of Amphoreus’ problems when she loves that planet and its people more than anything, especially not after enduring 33 million cycles.
Aiden did so well with all of Cyrene’s lines. You can tell this girl was on the verge of tears just thinking about was gonna happen to her.
Here I was, wondering how well March was able to survive those first 97 days on Amphoreus by herself, but she’s got a ton of fight in her, so I was clearly worried for nothing. I never really questioned Cyrene’s weapon of choice, but learning that she chose a bow and arrows because she watched March fight is adorable. Sometimes the most simplest ideas are the most obvious.
Not gonna lie, but I actually turned my phone upside just to see how clearly 093 looks like EGO spelled out. I can’t believe even the numbers in her name had meaning. Incredible. I love clever writing done like this.
Just when I thought we were gonna be safe from the Elysia allegations, they drop this on us. Okay, I know it’s obvious Cyrene is an Elysia expy, but I was kinda hoping she could be her own person, kinda like how Acheron resembles the HI3 Raiden Mei yet our emanator is actually Raiden Bosenmori Mei, or how Phainon’s Khaslana form is spelled different from Kevin Kaslana. I’m sure Cyrene and Elysia are still two separate people though. The only exception being Welt really.
So anyways, time to fall in love with the Chrysos Heirs all over again so they can rip our hearts out one last time! Baby Anaxa with his collection of dromas toys is beyond adorable.
I love the pink haired girlies all flying kites together, especially small Cyrene flying one shaped like Mem. I wonder if Hyacine’s and Castorice’s kites look like little Ica and Pollux.
Pffft, Cipher totally would be a slacker in school whereas Aglaea is multi-talented as always, being able to pay attention in class while knitting. Little Ica seems to be napping on Hyacine’s desk too.
Of course Phainon and Mydei would continue their rivalry no matter what universe they’re in.
I’m thrilled we still get to see Tribbios like this. She’s so gorgeous all put together, at least before the rocket explodes in her face. Anaxa looks precious and undeniably kinder as well. Thankfully he still has both eyes in this timeline.
I’d pay so much money to be in the front row of their concert. I’m sure Hyacine has the voice of an angel.
Oohh these snapshot memories.. even the whimsy coin doodle and flower stickers are adorable. Seeing Castorice and Cipher remain friends and Hyacine also taking care of others in this world is so sweet too.
I need a concert with Serval and rockstar Hysilens NOW! Oh my god, our sea siren looks amazing! Also loving track star Cipher and our short queen Cerydra conquering the tallest of mountains. That’s hilarious. I haven’t a clue what Phainon is up to, but suits makes everyone look hotter. It’s a known fact. Source: me.
All of them having a party together though.. aaahh my heart. They all look so darn happy! This is the kind of feast I wanted to see! It may not be a beautiful cutscene in Amphoreus with them celebrating their win against Irontomb like I originally hoped for, but it’s so wholesome I don’t even care! I love that they’re all one big, happy family.
The way I would steal every one of these adorable seals. I want twenty of them.
They really want us to cry because sending the Chrysos Heirs onto the Express during the actual story clearly wasn’t enough, nope, they had to show them all actually traveling and living with us too. No surprise that Anaxa and Dan Heng would get along great together. These two would be fiddling with the databank for hours upon hours every night. Curse them both for being so handsome as well like oh my god.
Dan Heng was absolutely right that Hyacine and March would be great friends. Seeing them dress up Pom-Pom is the cutest thing ever and I’m fully convinced that outfit was made by Aglaea herself. Nothing warms my heart more than seeing our goldweaver with her humanity. She’s like a completely different person yet I love her regardless.
Everyone shut up because holy heII.. who gave these two permission to look so damn gorgeous??? How is it possible that Mydei looks even hotter with more of his pretty body covered up, huh? I’m speechless! And Hysilens looks absolutely beautiful in that outfit and with her hair up! I wonder if her torso is still a transparent, water lava lamp in this universe or not? Mydei doesn’t have his red tattoos either. Regardless, these two have me stunlocked.. I wanna stare at them for ages. And I wanna know who can down the most drinks. Place your bets.
There he is.. Phainon, wearing that ridiculous gold and purple combo yet again. I’m sure he chooses outfits like this now just to get on Aglaea’s nerves. And if Hoyo wants to give us a whole separate animated short centered around the Chrysos Heirs having a gaming tournament, then I’d be so happy. Just saying.
I’m so grateful that they decided to include Sunday in this animated short despite him not really interacting with any of the Chrysos Heirs during our long journey. Having him befriend Cerydra over a game of chess is perfect. Himeko looks proud of him connecting with others too. I’d say place your bets on who might win, but we all know it’s gonna be our Imperator. Look at her, all calm and laidback while Sunday is trying his hardest. I’d still love to watch the full game between them.
Now that they got our hearts all full of happiness, it’s time to shatter them once more. Seeing my favorite disappear into the stars first is just cruel. I know I said this before, but Cipher was someone I wasn’t really excited for when the first Amphoreus trailer dropped when they showed us all the new characters. Surprisingly, my opinion swayed gradually over time after catching a glimpse of her in-game model in Nameless Faces and hearing her voice for the first time in Casotrice’s Keeping Up With Star Rail. By the time we met her for the first time in the story and when her own trailers released, I was already in love, and her role in 3.3 still remains one of the greatest moments in all of Amphoreus. She’s my favorite without a doubt and I’m so glad she was the first Chrysos Heir I decided to pull for.
As much as I enjoyed Aglaea and Anaxa’s bickering as “enemies,” I would’ve loved to see them act civil with each other for once without the ideals and weight of their opposing titans clashing in their minds. Their scenes did make 3.2 quite enjoyable. I feel kinda bad for skipping their banners but I dunno if I’ll ever crumble enough to pull though. Aglaea has a chance.
Hyacine was another I didn’t have high hopes for, but again, 3.3 was peak and her being an incredible healer was enough to change my mind. Having little Ica helps too. We love that fat fudging guy. Cerydra I loved right from the start. No questions asked. Strategic chess master? Short queen? Powerful attitude? Heck yeah! I still really like her design too, especially the flaming crown.
And then there’s you.. the totally beautiful sea siren with a pretty voice who checks off all my boxes, but one. Gameplay. Aahh I’m still so upset Hysilens had to be DOT because I have no teams for her! It’s a crime! Just like how we had to wait until 3.5 to finally meet her and Cerydra, but it was worth it.
Now these two.. are kinda the opposite? I was expecting to be more crazy about them at first glance, but now they’re just okay to me. Don’t get me wrong, I enjoy each of their stories, trailers, voices, designs, etc, but maybe not as much as some of the others. They would both probably be in the middle if I had to rank all the Chrysos Heirs together.
Partner! Come back to us please! Not getting to finally reunite with Phainon after what happened in 3.4 and only seeing visions of him since then really makes this goodbye hurt. I have many emotions about him that I’m not sure what to say.. he’s just a real awesome character, a fantastic unit, a handsome as heck man, and I want him to travel with us please and thank you.
Gasp, a ring one the correct hand and finger? We’re married.
I know countless characters have said that loss is a constant on the Flame Chase journey, but I sure wish it wasn’t because why must we watch Cyrene disappear like this?? There’s nothing wholesome about this! Help! I believe Hoyo mistook heartwarming for heartbreaking instead! Aahhh!
Okay, so as beautiful as this entire animation was.. it still leaves me upset. I know that’s the whole point and as much as I appreciate the idea of there being an alternate universe where all the Chrysos Heirs are living happily with each other, I still wish they could’ve achieved such a life in the Amphoreus we know. I’m not gonna completely spoil Alien Stage for anyone who hasn’t seen it yet, but all this reminds me of “Weige.” You know, the whole story was progressing great, until we kept losing people we care about one after another, then they toss us these scenes of our beloved characters in another universe where nothing bad ever happened to them, before reality snaps back in and lands critical hits in our hearts. That’s the kind of vibes this animated short left me with. I’m happy it exists, but also wish it was reality.
Anyways, I think that’s around where the main story ended, which is bittersweet, but there’s a whole bunch of stuff that takes place in side missions for some reason that I wanna chat about too. So, one more post.

my brother liked it and wasn’t confused after watching (unlike the rest of us xx)
mum got to see the end finally YAY!!! she said the new zealand song they played was random which.. sighh ok mum okk… she also said she’s been telling my uncle to make my cousin watch phm every day since we first watched it which.. god bless her soul.
and my sister still hates eva stratt despite how hard i try and convince her otherwise !!! like not even in the “oh my god she’s a terrible person, she’s done such terrible things for humanity” way she straight up just hates stratt “she’s selfish!! ‘i am telling you this to make what comes next easier’ easier for WHO? she’s saying that so she can sleep at night!!” that what she said to me and i just … cause yeah she’s right lol but that’s what makes stratt so great!!!
