Sebastian is gritting his teeth actually here, growling and VERY FED UP WITH CLAUDE’S BACK-HANDEDNESS

“Oh I’ll get a signed contract, DON’T YOU DOUBT IT~ And once I have him, I won’t let him go for a moment~! Heee~.”

CLAUDE is being SO cocky it sounds like he’s going insane, drunk with his ego and confidence. He is clearly very very greedy, and has ALWAYS been this way, and yet I bet this is the first time he’s managed to get so close to such a rarely pure soul like o!ciel’s, so it’s effecting him EXTRA to the point of being this sleezy.

And Sebastian is like a MILLION BILLION YEARS DONE WITH CLAUDE. He aims to put him in his place this time. Because this time Claude has gone TOO FAR!

More of this hellish glare from Sebastian as Claude comes out to mock him... however...

As much as I hate focusing on anything Claude says, in this scene he comes out, takes up a birdy, and talks to the birb about Sebastian right in front of him, but what he says exactly intrigues me, especially with what we know of demon lore involving Sebastian in Yana’s Manga and our headcanons we’ve developed.

Claude tells the birb: “Ah, little one... fear not. Master specifically told IT to stay out of his sight! There’s nothing at all IT can do.”

This leads to a shot of Sebastian’s hand..

VIOLENTLY twitch in reaction to hearing Claude’s mockery in his face.

“IT.”

And what do we know most definitely about the true nature and appearance of the demon currently called “Sebastian Michaelis”?

In the demon world, when not taking on a human form, it seems most likely there is no specific gender role. No gender at ALL. Gender is a human thing, created by humans. And so, “Sebastian” really actually is an “IT”.

However, he is currently here on Earth, and was in the middle of a contract until this big ass mess, and now that his cultivated soul has been stolen from him, the demon has let his rage take over... he made a mess of that tiny island he and Ciel were on, and parts of his essence have been seen leaking out... while he lingers around the trancy manor, destroying the trees around the area likely to do something while he waits for an opening...

And so.. he is acting on his base instincts. The demon is being very demonic.

And not acting proper as a butler should.

Thus calling the demon “IT” right now is like calling out their behavior..

And Sebastian, no matter his current mood, is clearly insulted by that.
