Another Sunday, Another Clam Shack! ☀️

I love whole belly clams! Maybe it’s the New Englander in me (born and raised in MA) but they are better than clam strips! Don’t knock ‘em til you try ‘em 😉

I love @blountretail 😉 They have delicious, fresh seafood, amazing soups and fresh and frozen foods. It is my favorite Clam Shack on the East Bay 💕

The fried shrimp wrap was delicious. The fried shrimp was fried lightly and you could still taste the shrimp. The sauce was a nice kick too but it wasn’t too spicy, just a nice kick. The wrap was crispy and had a great crunch with the freshness of the salsa. I usually get the lobster roll here, but I really wanted those whole belly clams 🦞

The whole belly clam roll was delicious! Very nicely fried, it was light and you could still taste those clams. I added a little Tatar sauce to the roll and a little lemon for freshness. The clam fritters are delicious with chunks of clams in the fritter. And when you dunk the fritters in the clam chowder that clam taste really pops out!! I really enjoyed this roll and it was a perfect way to end a Summer Weekend ☀️

Based on presentation and taste of the @blountretail whole belly clam roll, fritters and chowder and shrimp wrap I would rate this Clam Shack a 10 out of 10.

IL Massimo, Federal Hill Providence RI.

Lobster Crepes- Lobster, Mushroom, Marscarpone, Sherry Shallot Cream and Creme Fraiche 🦞

I have reviewed Massimo before because I loved their dinner menu! But, this was my first time going there for brunch and it was another great dining experience 🦞

First of all their brunch menu is very diverse and everyone in your party will find something delicious to eat. From pancakes, to pasta, to seafood they have everything someone will want to eat! The whole family will leave with happy bellies 😉

The lobster crepes were delicious! The lobster meat was very fresh and there was a good amount of meat in the crepe. I really enjoyed the sauce/ creams the crepes were in. I love sherry cream with any seafood honestly. The only thing I would say is I wish there was more! I have only had lobster crepes one other time and I have to admit they are becoming one of my favorite brunch items!

Based on presentation and taste of the Lobster Crepes I would rate this dish a 9 out of 10.

Quito’s Restaurant and Shellfish, Bristol RI.

The Lobster Pappardelle- Local Lobster sautéed in a creamy cheese sauce over pappardelle noddles 🦞

When the warm weather finally hits Bristol you can find me at one of my favorite seafood restaurants!! The beautiful view of the Bristol Harbor and the delicious food always makes Quito’s a perfect dining spot!

Last night I over indulged and ordered a lot of food! We started with oyster from the Bristol Harbor, lobster bisque and quahogs. All of apps were delicious and super fresh. The amount of lobster they give you on the lobster bisque is a good amount.

The Lobster Pappardelle had so much lobster meat that I was really surprised with the portion size. The creamy cheese sauce over the pasta and lobster made every bite just melt in your mouth. I loved the amount of fresh, local lobster they added to the dish. I don’t have anything I would change about this dish at all. This had to be one of my favorite dishes at Quito’s.

Based on presentation and taste of the Quito’s Lobster Pappardelle I would rate this dish a 10 out of 10.

The Beach House, Bristol RI.

Mussels - Chourico, onion, overnight tomatoes, white wine.

Burrata & Prosciutto Caprese - Vine ripened yellow tomato, whole milk burrata, prosciutto, extra virgin olive oil, balsamic glaze.

I have reviewed The Beach House before and I always have an amazing meal there! The Burrata salad was fresh and light. I love a Burrata salad on a summer evening!

The mussels were good, I wish there were more! They tasted fresh and clean. The Chourico with that made them a little salty, which is not my favorite taste. The wine wine and tomatoes paired well with the muscles.

Reminder: I do rate appetizers differently than entrees. They never get a 10 out of 10.

Ceremony, Providence RI

Isn’t this the cutest teddy bear you have ever seen 🐻 I got an Ice Chai Latte with an Espresso Bear to make a Dirty Chai ☕️ For a snack I got the Mochi Matcha. This was the perfect way to start my morning!!

The Ocean House, Watch Hill RI.

Lobster Cobb Salad- Tomatoes, Avocado, Apple smoked Bacon, egg, blue cheese and lobster 🦞

If you are in the mood for a delicious and relaxing meal @oceanhouseri is the place to go. Watch Hill is one of my favorite towns in RI. They have a cute downtown, nice beaches and my favorite place to sit out on the patio and enjoy the view! You don’t have to be a guest to enjoy the wonderful hospitality of the staff here either. Whether you are coming in for lunch on the patio or dinner in the dining room everyone makes you feel special! I have been enjoying the Ocean House since I was a kid and I’m so happy the traditional of amazing customer service continues.

The Lobster Cobb Salad was delicious. The amount of lobster they give you is abundant. The meat was fresh and dressing they used was light so you could really taste all the flavors of the salad. The crunchy bacon and lettuce added flavor and texture to the soft lobster and veggies. I was very torn on what to get for lunch, the menu is full of delicious dishes, but I am very happy with my salad choice!

Ballard’s Beach Resort, Block Island RI.

Ballard’s is known for a huge party scene on BI. Once you get off the ferry normally people head right to Ballard’s. They have cabanas to rent on the beach, tiki bars, music and dancing. Now with COVID they don’t have dancing, and things are a little different but the food and cocktails are still delicious.

Last night we had to get out the lobster bibs and crackers for this amazing meal. The Fire Grilled Lobster was delicious and grilled perfectly. Over a pound of lobster meat grilled with butter, herbs and spices. Delicious end to a perfect day on Block Island 🦞

Based on presentation and taste of the Ballard’s Grilled Lobster I would rate this dish a 9 out of 10.
