This small, epiphytic orchid, Leptotes bicolor, is native to Brazil and Paraguay. It was part of an awarding winning display by Writhlington School Orchid Project, Somerset, for the Royal Horticultural Society Orchid Show in London, UK. This enterprise project is run by Writhlington School and Mendip Studio School pupils based around the laboratory propagation of orchids from seed, and cultivation of those plants in a school glasshouse. They specialise in the conservation of endangered species.
