Bluespotted Ribbontail Ray | Taeniura lymma
This little one is having a late color change, number 3 now is it?! Started bronze, then white with an orange cap, then the cap became a thick head to tail stripe with lots of orange fin swirls. She's lost most of her orange in the last two weeks or so, on her way to being solid white. I like this latest fashion choice although I hope she keeps a bit of that pretty watercolor tail :>
What are these ocean creatures? They are bluespotted ribbontail rays (Taeniura lymma). Arty and awesome, yes?

OOohhh this excellent! Holydramon is one of my favorite digis and you captured them beautifully. Loving the details! ;w;
Oh man thank you! I’m glad you like how they turned out! I’ve been having a lot of fun drawing these Digis; really great exercise!
Some traditional water-types for you now, since a lot of the fish in Auzz fly through the sky or burrow underground. Probably should’ve been blue if accuracy was an issue, but purple is more regal.
Oprince swim far out in the open sea, largely keeping to themselves. Similar in most ways to other fish pokemon they can grow quite large and are capable of deep dives, warming themselves at the surface before braving the crushing depths below.
Ribboneir have made the deep sea a more permanent abode compared to their younger counterparts and have become somewhat laid back in their approach without access to the bright light of the sun. Although typically solitary they can be seen congregating around Regaloar, evolving eventually to replace it should it move on or die.
Regaloar are found almost exclusively at great depths, their magnificent colours and billowing fins poorly appreciated in the thick, black darkness deep below the surface. Rarely caught or even seen they were considered a king amongst fish and it was a great privilege to train one, typically gifted to kings and emperors as a means of securing prosperity for the village it came from.
Making a pokemon out of an oarfish is surprisingly difficult without making it look like a knock-off Gyarados.

Commission by Ribbontail on Twitter of myself and @mistahastro. They did a great job! I am very happy with the picture!
So yesterday I had the joy of finally getting a chance to sit down and have a good conversation with @ribbontail ✨ It’s so surreal having looked up to someone art wise for so long and then becoming friends with them ( ‘ v ‘ ) Here are a few of Ribbs ocs that I doodles during our talk~ — Please reblog, do not repost
