Stella Mozgawa’s opus has some surprises as one can guess and one such is quite wild, because she even worked with Tom Jones. Yes, that Tom Jones, though she collaborated with him on one of his post-Reload records that didn’t repeat the formula of Reload, since they are – my view – attempt to do for him what American Recordings did for Johnny Cash. While they don’t go in the similar soundscapes as Rick Rubin did on that series of records, Jones and Cash share a propensity for choosing many intriguing tunes to cover. For instance, the tune on the link is by McCartney, but the piece is from the later part of Paul’s career and Jones makes the whole thing more emotional. Of course, his voice remains incredible even at this stage.
Pumpkinrot posted this a few weeks ago and now I'm totally obsessed with this beautiful, dreamy song. It's worth noting that there isn't another track on this album that is remotely similar.
