Sólo por haber tocado en “Time Out of Mind”, Bucky Baxter es crema. Con el espíritu de Buddy Holly rondando por el estudio, y el de Slim Harpo según lo que escupen los surcos de esos dos vinilos, “TOUM” fue el gran disco nocturno, ambiental y crepuscular de Dylan.

Bucky Baxter, Pedal Steel Guitarist for Bob Dylan, Steve Earle, Dead at 65
Bucky Baxter spent most of the 1990s recording and playing - more than 700 shows - with Bob Dylan.
But the two were never friends.
“I just worked for him,” Baxter told On the Tracks after he’d left Dylan’s band in 1999 having appeared on Unplugged and Time Out of Mind. “And we had a good working relationship, but I never went to his house for Thanksgiving or anything.”
Baxter, who joined Dylan after playing on Steve Earle’s early albums and touring as a co-founding Duke, died May 25 at age 65, Rolling Stone reports.
A noted sideman, the multi-instrumentalist also recorded with Ryan Adams, Old Crow Medicine Show and Steve Wariner, who called Baxter “my musical bother and friend,” among others.
Baxter released one solo album, Most Likely, No Problem, in 1999.
“You’ll be missed Bucky, but oh what memories,” Wariner tweeted. “Rest In Peace, pal.”
