Getting Lyfts while visiting Denver
I just had a whirlwind weekend trip to Denver, Colorado for a friend's wedding and while happenings happened, the Most Denver takeaway was the three distinct Midwestern-friendly personalities of our rideshare drivers.
These are words taken from their mouths in the 10-15 minutes I shared in their company going from train station to cafe to hotel to train station.
Driver 1: “Because of climate change, the city has started implementing water saving efforts and a lot of people are replacing their lawns with xeriscaping. We didn't even get snow this year.”
Driver 2: “Oh yeah that cafe has great gluten-free options. And that diner is really great for brunch. And this is the high-school where Earth Wind and Fire attended. I bet you haven't seen a high school as old as that building.”
Driver 3: “Dinosaurs reigned for millions of years, and they didn't have these problems, you know? Humans have only been around for 6000 years and we are committing incest and waging wars, and soon we'll be killing the planet and ourselves with AI. Once it's aware, we are done for. You know, I don't call myself a conspiracy theorist; I'm a conspiracy realist.”
