Games That Help Me Cope

With December looming only a few months away and sadness slowly descending upon me, I’ve been replaying all of my favorite games and decided to make a short list of some games that make me feel better so the next time I feel shitty I can come here and look at it

and a reminder to myself/anyone else reading this that might need it.

I know things are hard right now. I know you’re struggling and maybe it feels like things have been bad for awhile but you’ll be okay. You can get through this. You’re strong. And when you can’t be strong on your own, there are people who will help carry the weight. You have friends and family and even just random strangers on the internet who care for you and will help ease that burden.. Take a deep breath. Drink some water. Have something to eat. Find something to distract yourself.  I know things are bad right now but they won’t be bad forever.

Hey everyone! Sorry for the long silence. Larkylabs has been having the busiest time of it’s life. (which is almost 1 year old! It’s a babyyyy!) Here is a short update of what’s been going on, and all the releases so far! So, the major reason why we have been quiet was because I was really busy trying to set up a new system for LarkyLabs. It’s because I alone cannot handle too many projects on my own, we have finally set up two teams working on two separate games for Larky, while I work on the games that I am personally writing. We now have two brands and logos for this purpose,

Our two teams working on Regal Inquest and Ascension: Remake (Yeah, you heard it right!) are working inside the brand RinmaruGames. 

While I will be releasing games that I am personally writing with the brand name ImpQueen. With this, we will be able to update LarkyLabs with new content more often, and have a variety of different styles of games! Our first RinmaruGames game Regal Inquest is finally out on Patreon, and will be releasing the public version next month! It’s funny, it’s romantic, and it’s full of mischief and mystery. If you enjoy a witty and fantastic story with a cast of characters all equally intriguing, please check it out and let us know what you think!

Our second RinmaruGames game Ascension:Remake has just begun it’s production and they ready to blow your minds! As promised, Ascension:Remake will have a M!MC and a F!MC, with a skin color choice option. The choice you make at the start of the game, will either let you play as Kael or Aida. And the second twin will be, the one ruling Valond. 

They are hoping to release the first chapter early 2022, and I will keep you updated on the progress of the game!

As for ImpQueen games, I am finally able to focus on my work and ready to continue Oathbreaker Season 2. I released chapter 7 last night on Patreon, and will quickly start working on the rest of the last 2 chapters left.

I will have to hold on the public releases because of my schedule, but once Season 2 is completed, I will be releasing the Public version on Itch.io for free. So, you will be able to play the whole game without waiting for chapters. That being said, I have also started on the production of several merch for LarkyLabs. Keychains, pins, stickers, totebags and body pillows are getting ready as I... type... this update.(?)

This has been a rocky start for my company, but things are finally getting together. I really can’t wait for everything that’s cooking right now. Love you and see you soon!

I'M SORRY I FORGOT TO POST - I'M HERE NOW

So this is my Oathbreaker MC. I didn't really change the outfit much bc I didn't want to make it inaccurate to the world.

Also idk if Rinmaru is ok with ppl making their own MCs sooooo

this entire debacle reminds me so much of what happened to rinmaru tbh. she was a game dev (and I think still is) who made a popular flash game called Ascension back in the early 2010s, and when the demo to the sequel came out, so many people were infuriated that it didn’t have enough sex scenes- most of the complainers being sexually frustrated pre-teens- that rinmaru literally just stopped making the sequel. like I think she let go of the small team who was helping her work on it and everything. people complained that it was out of spite but tbh I can’t blame her- she was getting accosted by strangers on the Internet on a daily basis, and eventually she decided that she wasn’t going to reward their efforts with a free, in-depth sequel. And while I do hope that you continue to write PRM, and that the Marcus/Bella portion of PRM is fascinating, well-written, and probably the most plausible crack ship to come out of the Twilight fandom, it’s not really anyone’s place to tell you what to write.

To be fair, I'm a bit embarrassed now a few hours later but the venting had to happen.

I fully intend to continue, though as usual I don't promise to give anyone what they want. I'm always a little mystified that people come to me to that when, especially in fandoms like Harry Potter, usually someone has written what they're looking for...

I feel this person though, I really do.
