Alec, I tried my hardest to go to work today but I just couldn't make it. As soon as I pulled into the parking lot the feelings of last Friday overcame me. I immediately started to cry. I tried to hold it in, but I wasn't strong enough. I started walking to the back. Where it all happened. Where I saw you alive and then not. I broke down. I clocked in, put my stuff down, and I just couldn't do it. I couldn't go on with my normal work day knowing you will never be on the schedule again, knowing your blood was soaked into the pavement, knowing your last moments were right there. I will try again on Wednesday. Be with me then, okay buddy? I need your strength on Wednesday. Be there I spirit and we can work together again, like old times.
